East539 Neutral Newbie July 17, 2010 Share July 17, 2010 think this "rest" function is to provide some sort of ventilation & bring in the air from outside the vehicle after the engine is turn off, but useless lor...outside air already bery hot...bring hot air in???? haiz...really a useless function. Kiadaw 6th Gear July 17, 2010 Share July 17, 2010 (edited) Yeah!! it is a useless function. What do you say guys!! Cho Yung Tea Why. It fact its a great innovation if it didn't consume alot of energy, for those parking outside. If it can keep the windscreen just warm enough to prevent froze or sheet ice overnight when parked outdoor on cold day. Even the feeling of not having icy butt the 1st moment you sit in your car when returning from work is shiok. I know its pretty useless in Singapore, but certainly not if you live in colder climate. Quirky_ster Clutched July 26, 2010 Share July 26, 2010 think this "rest" function is to provide some sort of ventilation & bring in the air from outside the vehicle after the engine is turn off, but useless lor...outside air already bery hot...bring hot air in???? haiz...really a useless function. My Citroen C4GP have this function. I find it useful for the right reason.. Each time pump petrol, while family in the car, switch off engine, press rest button ( which the will continue to blow some cold air since the filament are still cold ). Paid for petrol and back to car, the cabin still reasonably cold... Otherwise, while waiting for wife or children, can also use this function while engine is off. With this, save on petrol by avoiding idling for 5-10 minutes while doing some small task. If you are thinking of using it for other purpose, then perhaps yes, it's useless... but I like this small little function. It serves me well.. :P
