Not saying TS buy lousy brakes, maybe he don know, kana cheated by workshop. just sharing info. I got lousy brakes b4 too, not worth, too noisy and embarrassing every time u brakes. Silver_blade Turbocharged July 14, 2010 Share July 14, 2010 TS, I wouldn't try such products at all. I will just replace the brake pad to one which is of softer compound.

Ah_Lau 1st Gear July 14, 2010 Share July 14, 2010 thanks !!! if too troublesome, i will just order from amazon USD$4.50 with vpost usa You are welcome. Please do add value to this forum by updating whether you can get this item here. I'm away so can't investigate further. I was researching this product and saw it on Amazon also. Definitely can order but vPost may have shipping restrictions on such packages. My brake squeal problem is only at walking speeds and cannot be heard when the windows are up. My car is too quiet and the brake squeal is actually a good thing because it serves as a pedestrian repellent when on small lanes off Serangoon Road and other places where certain people think that they are entitled to just anyhow walk on the road. Wt_know Supersonic July 14, 2010 Author Share July 14, 2010 (edited) i hate the brake creaking sound. it makes my car sounds like a 10 years old proton. the creaking sound is only heard when i tap on the brake at slow speed (car park, approaching hump, morning traffic, etc) -> very irritating. Kb27 Supersonic July 14, 2010 Share July 14, 2010 The high frequency sound can be reduced. I use anti-seize grease on the back of the pads. Should be available at local hardware shops.

Pisces69 6th Gear July 14, 2010 Share July 14, 2010 hi, where can i buy this CRC DISC BRAKE QUIET ? autobacs ? is there other brand of disc brake quiet that you would recommend ? thanks ! =========== No need to buy this special stuff. If your disc brakes squeel, it was cos your mech did not apply some high temp copper grease to the shims when he changed the brakes. I always remind my mech to apply the grease & I never had any problems with noisy brakes.
Yuan 6th Gear July 17, 2010 Share July 17, 2010 my aftermarket performance brake pads squels and squeks in order to make it quiet is to apply disc brake quiet lube / spray the creaking sound is due to the movement of the clip with caliper. it's a common problem with aftermarket performance brake pads replacing oem brake pads Not necessary that aftermarket brake pads will produce squeaking sound. There are only certain types of brake pads that has metallic composition and such pads may result in the sound when driver brakes the car. Advisable to go to a mechanic and check your brakes. In my opinion, no need to use the above product.
Wt_know Supersonic July 17, 2010 Author Share July 17, 2010 the creaking sound comes from the movement of the brake pad that secured to the caliper thru a clip. there is a tiny bit gap between the clip and the caliper. need to apply such brake grease to lubricate the touch point ↡ Advertisement
