Wow.... that's a good list of songs and bands..... some I quite forgotten already.... now can start searching for them thru' AMPed or the apps for free downloads.

Somehow I don't think Queen was mentioned in the huge listing.

Also, a couple of others like 38 Special, Blue Oyster Cult.

Somehow, I don't think R&B/ or Motown stuff is popular with bros here..... Marvin Gaye (eg, what's going on, mercr mercy me), Commodores, Debarge, etc...

Raeggae??? Bob Marley? or maybe cool guitar sounds from Eric Clapton.

Gosh.... I'll take me forever to find and download all these stuff.

Singer is correct, but song is not.

Nik Kershaw - Wouldn't it be good

Here's the MV...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fIBzbdo2LjU...feature=related

kekeke, we kenna from the same era one.... [:p] [:p]

Cheers!

ps: - One more song from those era one....

Howard Jones - No one is to blame

Jonesie broke into the scene with "New Song"...the rest of the songs by him were crap...hahah

I also belong to that era - sad that they call it "retro" these days [:(]

Anyway, Depeche Mode, Yazoo and other electro-pop bands were my favourite [laugh]

Wouldn't It Be Good ~ Nik Kershaw (1984) lah bro . . . . let me sing . . ahem!

"I got it bad

You don't know how bad I got it

You got it easy

You don't know when you got it good

It's getting harder

Just keeping life and soul together

I'm sick of fighting

Even though I know I should

The cold is biting

Through each and every nerve and fibre

My broken spirit is frozen to the core

Don't wanna be here no more

Wouldn't it be good to be in your shoes

Even if it was for just one day

And wouldn't it be good if we could wish ourselves away

Wouldn't it be good to be on your side

The grass is always greener over there

Wouldn't it be good if we could live without a care

You must be joking

You don't know a thing about it

You've got no problem

I'd stay right there if it were you

I got it harder

You couldn't dream how hard I got it

Stay out of my shoes

You know what's good for you

The heat is stifling

Burning me up from the inside

The sweat is coming through each and every pore

Don't wanna be here no more

Wouldn't it be good to be in your shoes

Even if it was just for one day

And wouldn't it be good if we could wish ourselves away

Wouldn't it be good to be on your side

The grass is always greener over there

And wouldn't it be good if we could live without a care"

You should try "Human Racing" - it's even cooler...hahah

Closing in on empty spaces

Winners laugh too soon

A paper world with paper faces

Beneath a paper moon

There's a man, a real pacesetter

Coming after me

And after him there's someone better and

After him there's me

He'll offer you a cigarette

He'll offer you a light

But he hasn't finished with you yet

On another long, knife night

So look behind you

There's the man you're chasing

Look behind you

Let's go human racing

Human racing

Let's go racing now

Open arms and open purses

Open season's here

Fill your heads with clever verses

And then they disappear

Silent vows in secret places

They'll get you somehow

Cos you never win in human races

So who's the loser now

Look behind you

There's the man you're casing

Look behind you

Let's go human racing

Human racing

Let's go racing now

Another PM sent.

I'm now left with 11 songs to make it for my very own list of 100 nice songs of the 80s. Once done, I will start a new thread to provide the list with the youtube video going side by side [laugh].

Thank you so much for yours and others recommendations [thumbsup] !

Regards,
