The lamp is at the back and does not affect my vision. So, I don't mind to keep it on. LED light by itself is no harm. It is not an illegal thing. If fit on car and switch OFF, also no problem. But if switch on, it might cause confusion to others and potentially cause accident. Therefore, cannot. I guess. Having the cabin light on, but forgot to switch on the head light, plus it is a black car, will scare people off. Maybe cannot also. I think it is legal to install, but illegal to turn ON the LED. Like the DVD player, it is illegal to turn on while driving even though the player is factory fitted. If I didn't remember wrongly, it is illegal to drive with your cabin light on. Just that it is not strictly enforced. Can't remember where I read from though.. Oh well.. When you get caught, spend more money on fine and still have to remove your daylight. Lose freaking lose for you! Stay in your boundary and you'll be safe.
