Just curious, anyway got the coe for 6th August coe bidding for k5?

 

I have booked the 2 litre k5.. but never got the coe..as my bid was entered at $63999..sianz

Hi Edmundgan,

 

just need to be patient. In my opinion, you will definitely will get the car. Every AD will have some Open Cat COEs on hand. The last 2 bids for Cat E in July were $63k and $65k respectively. If Kia can bid $63,999 for you yesterday, then they can definitely use either of these before they expire.

Some bro said in another topic there is 400+ new c clas been sold in past 2 weeks, and 4 out of 10 bids been secured, mean at least 160 COEs gone for just one model, don't forget GLA, Macan all this new models will have significant booking to be fulfilled, big brand has better margin to play with....

I know that.Mercedes got 400 plus cat b orders to be confirmed.. Just hope that I can get my k5 soon..hahah

Congrats! The last time I visited the showroom, the display units (2.4L only) were golden beat and temptation red.

Between 2.0L & 2.4L, different $14K, is 2.4L really worth that much in comparing.. Test drove 2L, can't really tell is it under power compare to 2.4L, I'm not good in this.. Need pro advise.

Er... I'm also not expert, but I heard those bro who test drive both they can feel that 2.4 is more power, more connected to road. 2.0 seems a bit draggy. I think still up to individual feels during the driving. Edited August 10, 2014 by Hybridcar

To me doesn't matter even if 2L is a bit draggy..I got padde shift..now driving a 1.4 turbo..just need to get use to it..haha.. But it's value for $ to me.. Where to find a car around $125+k with so much feature...I am paying for a Korea car with conti specs..even Mazda 6 basic 2L do not have so many feature ,is around $129k..that's why I choose k5,plus I got all the freebies I want.. Haha

Especially if the Korea car can match the reliability of Japanese make then u are getting a Korea car with Jap reliability with conti specs. Really value for $

My Maths between 2.4L & 2.0L, for cost concerns:-

 

Beside up front price diff $14K, there would be additional expenses:-

 

a) Road tax diff $1680-$1210=$470/year

b) Extra petrol cost (~20% of $400/month)=$80*12=$960/year

c) insurance ~$200 more/year

Total $1630

 

As such, for 10 years, $16300 (exclude unknown maintenance cost)

 

In simple summary, 2.4L, final cost after 10years, $141000+$16300=$157300..

 

Worth ?? Compare to 2.0L? For extra engine HP, sun/moon roof, ventilated seat, Infinity speaker, front passenger electric seat, blind spot warning...

Yes 2L comes with Bluetooth and cruise control.

 

Original head unit have built in Bluetooth. Just that the unit displays in Orange colour if I remembered correctly.

 

Mine is not factory unit.it's sourced by cnc, comes with reverse camera, GPS.and DVD player.. dames as the one fitted on K3 the higher spec model

 

Cruise control is on the steering wheel.

What you mean by "K3 the higher spec model"?? You mean the head unit they fitted in K3 better than K5??
