Guys, can check with you all.

Is it normal our k5 first half tank can go only less then 200km? But our second half tank can go another 400 or something?

Sounds like a calibration issue... but the total seems about right... 600 km per full tank until the light comes on... what's the fuel tank capacity? 70 L?

So we get about 600km per full tank? I believe I see the light comes on about 500 plus. Our fuel tank should be 60L capacity, anyone can verify?

I don't drive the K5 but the sister car - Sonata VIII... my tank is 70 L... should be the same for the K5 I think... I usually get about 630 km when the light comes on. I usually pump in 56-57 L... I drive 50% highway 50 arterial roads. School rush hour period on the way to work, return before evening rush hour. I average about a bit less than 11.0 km/L usually at 10.82 km/L...

I just pumped yesterday... I clocked 636.6 km & pumped in 56.31 L of RON95 at Esso. That works out to be 11.305 km/L...

Seems like you are getting pretty good fc. I am still running my 4th tank or so. Trying to have a gauge of it but it’s like not to expection. Lights up before 500km, and pump in about 55L after.

Downsize the rims, will that helps?

I'm on the stock 18" rims... and on stock tires that are 235/45/18"... pretty wide... the lower trim model for my Sonata has 17" rims with 215 width so likely better fuel consumption...

I used to clock 10+ per litre on my lancer ex GT. I tot could match but oh well...

Engine capacity = 2.0 L? The car also smaller right? And lighter...

And when you say 10+ = 10. something or above 10 km/L? Cos if you're clocking around 10.8 km/L for a 2.0 L NA engine with a kerb weight around 1.4 to 1.5 tons, that's par for the course...

Govt do nothing to the keep increasing COE and it’s the best golden goose for them, free money for a digital certificate and now with all those car sharing, PHV and new taxis on the road, like the new Toyota Prius. Those corporate keep buying new cars with buying powers there goes the COE ever since after Covid-19 re-opening in 2020 everything shot up and never come down. Something is definitely wrong behind the scene.

Cannot see such beautiful K5 to compete with Toyota Camry, even the Hyundai Sonata also missing from SG market.

Now even a stupid Corolla Altis is close to $174K. 😵‍ Back then is only less than $100K.

Back in 2015-2016, a luxury flagship SUV Toyota Harrier from PI as that time AD yet to bring in only cost $150K for a 2.0NA which now cannot even buy a low end Corolla Altis. After just 7-8 years time it cost nearly $270K for a 2.5 Hybrid. That a whopping $120K increase. What the crap is this?!

Really don't know why after the covid appeared, everything seems to shot up and never come down. From cars, property and foods.

Don't think gahment would want to do anything, since they can collect more money and yet keep the numbers of people owning cars down.
