I just got my K5 dashboard changed. It developed bumps under hot sun, like skin got burnt by hot water, specifically under the antislip rubber tray I placed on it.

Don't place cheap antislip tray with sticky base on the dashboard, the dashboard will get 'burnt'.

One strange thing I noticed that after the replacement, the Aircon airflow seem stronger and car seem quieter. I used to set the Aircon to 21deg in order to get decent airflow, but it will get too cool too soon.

C&C still recognise ur warrenty if you bring EO different from the ones they specified?

They don't dare to void warranty, the Service Advisor told me Motul oil 'could' damage my engine,i ask him to give me a letter,so that i can show it to Motul's agent,he dare not give. :D ,but the invoice just printed "C&C will not be responsible for any engine damages,if owner provided his own oil"...but after using it for 3 servicing[Motul],engine was super smooth.

i think staying within the recommended specs of the eo stated in the manual (taking into account disclaimers for op temp) may be more relevant.

Hi, I have a sticky base antislip rubber mat(.. given free by sgcarmart... lol) and never use it (luckily [sweatdrop] ) but left it in my center console box (unlucky [:/] ).

Wanted to remove from my car this morning and found the it develop sticky (liquid) like substance. It crimples. Because there was a rubber padding (originally from KIA) place below it, the liquid also manage to create bump in it. Not sure what chemical substance they use for the sticky thing.. but I think it is not safe for use in cars. It may have develop toxic gas too..

I'm quite sure we have the same problem... So, advice bros and sis there take extra cautious when using such accessories.. cheers [:)]

K5 FC...

K5 fuel consumption is advertised as 8L/100Kms, but, mine is 12.5L/100Kms, which is in an average 8Kms/Ltr. To double check, I read reviews by various automagazines in Singapore, and most of them said 8.5 or 8.6 L/100Kms. I drive only in Eco mode with a view to save Fuel, but no use it seems.

Can other K5 owners share their experience on Kia K5 FC?
