Let me go back and check what it is cause company com restrict me to that site. But if you mean deleting the ClientRegistry.blob I did that, but still have the same problem. Dont have this problem when i was using Windows XP. now Windows7 got this problem..
Chewbacca 1st Gear July 6, 2010 Share July 6, 2010 It happened to me about 2-3 weekw ago. Exact same thing. I had Windows 7. I asked around, and it seems the problem for Win 7 has been resolved for a while already. So I just waited, apparently, Starhub problem or something because it went away by itself. BTW, what games you playing/buying? TF2, I hope?

Bought a new laptop in Win7, then I faced this problem. I saw the same solution as well, but it didn't work for me. After a while, it just went away, like previously mentioned. Etnt Turbocharged July 6, 2010 Share July 6, 2010 Yah, that's the ClientRegisry.blob thing. Running W7x64 and never had problems with it so couldn't help much there. Anyway for DOW2 you should be able to register both the original and Chaos rising cdkeys in steam.

Anyway for DOW2 you should be able to register both the original and Chaos rising cdkeys in steam. the problem now is that the steam programme cannot be started. the first thing it do is updating after freshly installed good thing is i am still playing DAO:Awakening. so i am just preparing myself for my next games... (intend to replay the whole DoW2 again) Edited July 6, 2010 by Joseph22

Akitsuki Neutral Newbie July 6, 2010 Share July 6, 2010 I faced a similar problem with Steam some time ago. Using Win 7 64-bit. Deleting the clientregistry.blob doesn't solve the issue. But... Leaving the Steam client on while I do other things (Steam runs in the background for me, all the time) eventually solved the downloading/updating problem. When TF2 received a major update some weeks back, I encountered stalled updating problems... so I just left it alone for a couple of hours. It completed its updating as well. I realised that the updating/download status bar does not really reflect the actual status. Also take note that if you are playing another Steam game, say DA:O, while you have pending updates... those updates will be paused until you are finished with your DA:O session. Chewbacca 1st Gear July 6, 2010 Share July 6, 2010 I think the patch sizes kind of big.....yeah I thought of that too. Just leave it on overnight, I guess. But, even without the discount, buy and play with me! ↡ Advertisement
