What is the cheapest way to retain my hp no after contract?

My current contract is ending, and don't really intend to renew but wanted to keep the no. just in case for old contacts.

 

Is it possible to port a no. from a postpaid plan to pre-paid service? Or any cheapest way?

You can only move your number from post paid to post paid service. And now number retention is free already, so what gives?

If both your contracts are same operator, I think (I am not very sure) there is a service where you can re-route your old number to your iPhone number.

if u want to divert u still need to keep it 'alive'. so i suggest to keep it alive, go for a lowest cost plan (save $$), at a competitor telco (get port over discount of at least $100), get a reasonable phone (re-sell to save more $$).
