Boyboy 1st Gear July 3, 2010 Share July 3, 2010 yes. seriously. it's the next best thing to a diesel-powered private car, because unlike normal 2/3 seater van/pickup, u have 3 extra proper seats with seatbelts to carry passengers. and LTA doesn't want this to be abused by people trying to save on petrol tax. Opel17 6th Gear July 3, 2010 Share July 3, 2010 The double-cab price is higher, and the road-tax is also higher becos include "diesel passenger tax". Otherwise, it would be more affordable for me to buy one becos of certain advantages : diesel, turbo, 5pax, cargo deck, 4WD. Those private cars with diesel engines also have to pay higher road-tax becos include "special diesel tax".
