Now its easy with the internet u can search for anything u want to know under the sun.

Next time the car go ws for repairs of service, u follow & see what they do can learn much more.

Reading from a book & seeing it done is quite different. Next time u can even help to do the work. Get your hands a little dirty.

So u dont use much make-up. Likely u got natural beauty then. [gorgeous]

yea.. From internet you can read up on the parts and all that.. but if i really pop the bonnet i see, i still can't really recognize all the parts. [:(] But still.. the internet does a pretty good job at describing theoretically how each part contributes to the car's movement.

Boy boy usually bring the car go ws when i working.. sooo.. rarely will get a chance to go see.

haha.. i just think make-up very troublesome la.. take so much time to put on and remove.. unless necessary, i don't use.. Don't like the feel of the mask of make-up. Yucks.. <_<

Thats why I say if u got a chance, get your hands dirty cos that the best way to really ustand what all the parts look like & where they r.

Also how to change them requires some skill & experience to b done properly.

Many ws employ those newbie mech who got no actual experience so sometimes they change parts they do a real screwed up job. [furious]

If you love to try out DIY , you can always keep your hands clean without having to wash them.

Yes u r right about wearing rubber gloves.

Constant contact with oil etc can cause cancer.

But I dont DIY my car that often so I usually just "wash up" with a cleaner like Swafega which gets my hands very clean. [thumbsup]

Ya u can try those high end ws like Merc or Rolls.

But remember when u go looking for a job, just wear something sexy like short tight shorts & a tight tank top. [idea]

They wil put u in front of the window where customers can see u working on their cars. Sure their biz increase by 30% & u prob end up getting higher bonouses than the General Manager even. [sly]

Mechanics hands are highly abuse due to chemicals, use of impact wrenches and daily pulling of wrenches. On top of all these most of them just don't have the patience to do thorough cleaning at the end of the day. The dirts, chemicals and etc accumulated under their finger nails overtime may cause dieases and eventually leads to ill health.

In developed countries, most mechs wil wear rubber gloves but I seldom see it done here.

Maybe more education is needed from the Min of Health.

==========

We r 1st world only in terms of per capita income & some infastructure only.

All other areas we r still developing. Even our spending power is not as high as a developed country. We might like to think we can buy lots of ex stuff but in reality, many Sporeans spend too much of their disposable income with very little left for long trem savings.

Thats why most have to work till die & many high end stuff is bought with heavy loans.

Gharmen like it that way cos then many cannot afford to not work & we r tied down like that. Most if dont work end up losing house, car & family even.

A Dutch economist once commented about us that we have everything but own nothing. [:p]

(edited)

It's a one-man task if you have the right tools. For shops that are primitive in out look without brake bleeder and auto fulid refiller will require one mech, one assistant and the boss acting as operation director.
