As above, had a cousin who used to be a salesman in the PI new sales market in turf city, He informed me that the used car that their neighbouring workshops are selling are used by the salesman themselves as personal transport till a buyer is found on the vehicle..One wonders how reliable then is the used car u are getting as what is claimed on mileage and reliability... [:/]

That's common. I think most used car dealer if not all do that. After all, they own the cars before it is sold.

not necessarily.... most times the car are still in the ex owner name.... this is to save on transfer fee

wat im more concern is the mileage of the car being manipulated by PI and no way we can find out except proper service record..

unless the service record is from AD... if not, i think you rather not believe it [sly]

Of course the salesman will use the car to tackle mei mei. Andmaybe do it in the car.

You know mei mei will be impressed with the bmw/merc or nice sport cars, enough to do it in the back seat.

Now u know why these people gets all the girls, they know leverage! How to make use of others people nice car to get good times from mei mei.

They will not scared the car licence plate photo kena taken by the geylang blog!

That's the perks of cars salesman.

Don't start me on property agents, especially those who handles high end props!

They also leverage on the vacated house to hooked up meimei very easily!

This hv being going on for dont know how many yrs already. But i think is ok ba.If the car hv being driven by the previous owner for few years already, whats the problem for letting the salesman to drive for a few weeks or maybe a few months..

I would rather take a used car that has been used frequently than one that is parked and not used at all. A used car can sometimes take few months before it's sold. So, letting it idle without exercising is very bad.

I just asked that they be honest and don't tweak the mileage.

My dad's friend last time bought an embassy used Merc. Sure it has low mileage cos it's hardly used. He thought he found himself a gem+bargain but end up engine had a lot of leakage and rust problem so bad had to swap for a new engine(legally of course). LOL end up spending more money. It's better if the used car is being driven frequently.
