Missed out one more guy!

Michael Vana

He was convicted or just charged b4 he ran away? They had an article on how he got away from Singapore, by boat to JB. I think Mas Selamat took it as a guide.

Then there was this One Armed guy from Sweden?or some Scandinavian country. Played for Tg Pagar i think.

Some Brazilian garbage who came just becoz they were brazilian.

Whats the name of the guy who score goals for fun at Geylang? Angmo guy from Eastern Europe or smthing...

Why Abbas was charged ah?

if someone want him to win and pay as reward, consider kelong?

Russia was told to whacked England and will be rewarded handsomely if they won but they dont want the $ as it's their duty to do so..iirc that guy is Roman issit?

and so why Abbas was charged? Reward to win is kelong also?

Btw there's a Brazilian who scored in his first match in Sleague and returned to Brazil's Gremio to replace Ronaldihno when he was transferred to PSG

1 of the biggest name till now [laugh]

In such cases, its difficult to prove the player received $$$ to Lose. Teams lose even if they really want to win.

But as long as can prove the player received $$$ outside the legal channel, then the corruption charges can stand.

No smoke without fire. Many similar cases around the world. Recently one in Italy 4-5 seasons ago.

i think the case is to Score and Win..to Win is harder to fix match than to lose...Strikers are to score and not to miss de ma..different

Like match bonuses to win, issit Corrupt?maybe muz be a team then count...if alone, team dulan [laugh]

sometimes such law v wierd one..and i wonder why and it's logic...

Juve Case is fixed to ask opponent to lose..so different...

it's just like Coporate Entertaiment vs Vendors' Entertainment,i asked alot people on this,no one also can understand it's logic..lol

Not too sure about it but the whole region's football is corrupted. Why has the S-league not improved the slightest bit? Why no progression for our National Team?

I was not referring to the Juve case. It was I think Genoa regarding relegation to Serie B.

oh team rigged with another team..this is true corruption liaoz [laugh]

why no improve?

take a look at England as classic example. Thier FA is worried in BPL for FT usage and have to set a limit to the teams..to save England future football

How do we improve more? is FT really improve the game???

i not sure [laugh]

Not sure how many of you attended this game

1993 M-Cup Quarter Final against Pahang...

I was sitting behind the Pahang goal and when the third goal was scored....in the dying min.....the whole stadium erupted into roar...

Coach Sivaji dropped this knee and kissed the ground when the final whistle was blown...IIRC...many VIP turned up from halftime...including the PM and a few cabinet ministers....

those were the days......

IMO that was the best game SG played. They had to win but Pahang took the lead not once but twice. Both teams were evenly match and Pahang could very well have sneaked a winner. Luckily it was the Lions who finally got the winning goal, through a sublime piece of trickery by Sundram, setting up Fandi to slam the ball in.

The fans watching went through the ultimate rollercoaster. Even Fandi also buay tahan and broke into tears.

Sometimes I wonder if the greater mortals had missed the forest for the tree. No doubt the Malaysia Cup was a small fry competition but the atmosphere and national bonding it created cannot be bought by money. I just loved watching SG stick it to the MY states and I think the Malaysians all wanted a piece of us too. All the NDP combined since independence can't replicate even 5 minutes of M-Cup excitement.

I remember there was one night even the MRT driver got carried away and went toot-toot toot-toot-toot as his train pulled into Kallang. [laugh]

also rem 1 of the song has a chorus that goes like this:

Come on everybody, feel the power

You can feel the steam, its the Dream Team"

I think we need to be realistic. For the national team to be successful, we need to have our own league that can regularly produce competitive footballers. Malaysia Cup was just not cutting it enough. In fact, I think it's a good thing we left the competition... we have overstayed our welcome after winning the Malaysia Cup in our last year. One could tell that the Malaysians were not happy with our participation and domination. To me, it was a matter of time we had to leave Malaysia Cup - either with us being booted out or us opting out of it.

Don't get me wrong, I also loved the Malaysia Cup of old, climbing up the national stadium to support the team... I even remembered taking off my shirt and celebrating when we scored. But for the national team to progress, the only way is to have our own league.

The S League is still relatively young, more time is needed, as well as more financial and government support. I guess only with the government throwing its full weight behind it can the S League succeed. Firstly, they must make football a viable "career" for everyone. This way, the Chinese families can be persuaded to let their sons pursue the sport with passion. This is one big step to unearthing more footballers. It must start from the grassroots upwards.

No one can tell the future and who can say what Malaysia Cup would grow into if we had stay in it. It might spurned into a mini-Champion League kind of competition in this region? If there are fans interests, there is no saying what any compeition might grow into. Just look at the European Cup and Uefa Cup. They have grown from strength to strength.

To me the S League is a total failure. It is not "relatively young" anymore...think more than 10 years. Local interests are only from those punters, and now they need foreign teams to help sustain interests from the large group of foreigners here. The failure to reach GOAL 2010 target sums it all up.

Somehow I feel the administrators here tend to "destroy" something whenever they gets too "big".

Maybe they go there for better money and they can improve further as a player.

But how many of u guys actually support the S league. How to grow if there is no support. So funny willing to spend so much money to buy overseas club football jersy but no money to support local soccer.
