a humble sohc L15 Vtec to push up to 150hp... is freak difficult... cam shaft.. bore TB/head.. tuning... piston.. so many...

 

stock is 125.. how to get another 75HP wthout TC'ing???

how many hp... i'm not sure.. but definitely need to touch engine internal.. addup the YEN and u know TC might be a cheaper option

Cheapest way to hit 200hp - NOS it

Stock engine produces 125HP thus you will need 75HP more....

 

Its possible but the $$$ you have to spend is simply not worth it. You will have to replace the engine internals in order to gain the extra power. For NA engine, only way to produce more power is higher RPM. Just like the Honda 1.6L engines back then and the Toyota 4AGE.

 

Thus you have to replace your internals with lightened pistons/rods/crank and get them properly balanced. Raise the compression to probably 12:1.

 

Then port your head, install larger valves. Race profile cams, extractors, intake etc.....You will also need aftermarket ECU. Upgrade your cooling system and maybe need higher flow oil pump as well. May need to upgrade injectors and fuel pump too.

 

After you spend 20-30K then you may gain that 75HP.......

 

But whats the point???

Why would you want to?

 

Between the money that you would spend on the engine, and the money that you would need to spend on clutch, transmission, drivershaft and gearbox to make it driveable and then rims, brakes, suspension and chassis to make it "safe" it would be a stupid investment.

 

I have no idea of the total cost, but one thing I would be damn sure of, for the sort of money you are looking at you would be able to buy a stock hot hatch that will be

1. Safer

2. LEGAL

3. Able to be sold

4. Better to drive

5. Properly engineered

6. More reliable

The highest the swift sport can go wo supercharging or turbocharging is abt 155bhp or at most 165bhp. Need to change ECU from monster.com n pistons, cams n throttle body.

 

It'll b costly cuz it's a ripple effect. Need to change brakes too n so on.

Get a Golf GTI, Sirocco 2L or a Mini Cooper S. The SSS unfortunately does not live up to the "swift" in its name

1. Stroke it up to 2.0L (it's available locally or oveasea do a search in google or swiftclubsg)

2. Toda / R's Racing high lift cams

3. JE / Wiseco 12.1 CR piston

4. Motec Haltech Microtech EMU AEM etc

 

The suggested above can est offer u 180 ~ 190whp that's slightly more than 200hp

If your pocket is very very very deep u can also ditch off your ethrottle mate it with a cable ITB est should offer u slightly more than 200whp

After done so if u strike big big 4d purchase a sequential gearbox from europe

 

Nevertheless the M16A will never match a B16A

I think 6 pot not enuf la. U never read that it's a swift SPORT??? Sport car leh!
