Pitstop tyres along stevens road

I changed my tyres there a few months ago .. didn't have to wait long. I called in advance to make sure they don't have a crowd. Service is friendly and price is reasonable, final price was lower than advertised in MCF. However, I did find a faulty valve when checking my pressure using a gauge (this was a weeks after the install). When I unscrewed one of the caps, the valve gave out a hissing sound. I quickly put back the cap and drove back to get it repaired FOC. Less than 1 mins job - they just jabbed a tool to remove the valve and jabbed the tool again to insert a new valve.

During my tyre change, Edmund loaned me some tuning bolts to get my new rims on (rims came from somewhere else without bolts) and helped order new bolts - for that I am grateful.

Was there last Thursday - Edmund has a very salesman kind of "sey". Despite that, I got the essential services I need - and fairly happy with the services rendered.

i got my tires from pitstop as well. and after 10k km, i went for tyre rotation.

My expectations was very simple. They take out the wheels, and swop their places. Refill N2 gas, done. off i go.

But what they did was to take out my wheels, do balancing again.. and... they cleaned my rims inside out. Really WASHING it... you can imagine how black the inside of the rims were. Then put back the wheel, refill N2 gas... tyre shine, and i can go. No charges. Way beyond my expectations. I didnt buy top end tyres, so for the services rendered, i was pleasantly surprised.

Was it a Wednesday? Impressed (laugh)

When I went , there I was the only customer, that's why I didn't expect to wait 1.5 hours . Edmund was not there that day. Also, why they only collect CASH for second hand tires and do not issue receipt? In the office they clearly stated that they accept cards. To avoid tax????

Don't think u should have went back to pitstop if 20 mins away, but u could have given them a call. Maybe they will find a solution fr u like tow fr free or something. But did u feedback at all? Seems like it's a no.

There r 2 things which as a good driver u don't scrimp on, tires and brakes. U definately driveS carefully with 2nd hand tires.

Honestly, I m not associated with pitstop, in fact I'm cheap and go PH in amk. I m actually just stirring s--t with u cause I don't like funny keyboard warriors who buy 2nd hand tires and when have a prob, does not inform the tire shop to rectify then come in and complain, telling others usually this and usually that. Wat do u knw about tires if u can't tell its running flat and that fr gods sakes buy new.

Since I can get it changed myself , why should I let Pitstop tow back to their workshop? I am VERY sure they will change the valves for me FREE OF CHARGE but I do not want to take the trouble and also waste another 1.5 hours there. The uncle in Woodlands only charged me $12 for the 4 valves and also check all the 4 tires for me.

Make sure in future, brothers here who get their tires changed must make sure ask Pitstop to change NEW valves as well.

Yes, be it new tires or second hand tires, it is a MUST to drive carefully. We are not only responsible to ourselves and our family members, we are also responsible to other road users as well.

No brother, I didn't say you are associated with Pitstop as I saw your other post that you actually recommended other shops and not Pitstop, I was saying sorry to Pitstop people that I have to speak the truth, cos I know that they are posting in MCF as well ( a guy was on MCF when I was there).

Anyway, have a wonderful Year 2011 to you and all.

One of the best tyre shops i been to was Southeast tyres at Kaki bukit. The reviews abt Pitstop here hv generally been positive, minus sm faulty valve thingy which not every lay driver can detect. If anyone knows whr to get Ku31 other than pitstop, let me noe.

My pirelli zeros have been going strong for 40k , without even doing any rotation. Sm folks say rotate, sm say dont. Dont know who to believe smtimes.

One of my car tires had a nail in it and the AA tow truck got my car and me to Pitstop. In and out of the place in 10 mins. $15 later was good to go. No pushy sales talk. Just prompt service and friendly service.

Neutral Newbie

Excellent service! Ran over something along PIE today and my car started making noises. I ended up stopping at Pitstop tyres to check what's wrong. Turns out that my fender came loose.

Even though my tyres were fine and I did not buy anything from Edmund, he was extremely friendly, professional, not pushy and helpful. He got one of his guys to secure my loose fender with wire cables so that it won't make any noises and he did not charge a single cent. I was rather panicky and instead of taking advantage of the situation, he was a perfect gentleman and only passed me his namecard without any sales pitch.

This experience totally demonstrated the character of Edmund and the service of his team. I was very lucky to pull into Pitstop today!

Will definitely come back next time when I need a change of tyres.

Turbocharged

That's Edmund for u. Very approachable guy and always willing to help. Went there to get my f1a2 last nov. though it took a slightly longer time as he was under staff, it was an enjoyable wait listening to his army regular days stories....
