I just changed my mind of buying MB C180 to Hyundai i45. The i45 looks much better, bigger and cheaper.

Shouldn't be comparing them in the first place. A genuine buyer looking for MB C180 will not be using these criteria [: Bigger Better Cheaper] in the first place. Go study for our A level my boy..

maybe size yes la but brand name, quality everything else?

[:)]

nahh

With due respect, Goodcar normally advocate look beyond brand name and give credit to the value for money good car [:)]

But since 11 percent of the household are millionaire, got spare money to buy branded good...why not [laugh]

Goodcar also feel happy to see more Good car on Singapore road

But really I find that Opel insignia have better spec for about the same price. IMHO

i prefer the A5 for its raw power and moddability

the E-coupe for its looks.

320 inside too plain.... not rly badge whore...more of 318

Those who use 'badge whore' are really the 'green eyed' monster and i was one of them (GEM) before i bought 318i...now sorry have to differ liao. Hehehe..collect my new ride end of the month. Hope my 318i can perform or else i will have to work harder to upgrade in mid 2013.

Don't give names to others cos one day u may become one of them...i am a living example.

To All 318i & (Pre FL 320) sincere apologies.... [:p]

looking at the a4 1.8..altho SE is good, but pricing is still quite rigid...considering their margins, trying to take another 5k off is still not possible...then i tried checking out 2nd hand...damn the notion of poor resale value for audi has been squashed...an 08 A4 asking 120k+ is the same as a 2008 E60 520i...and there are so few on the mkts making the price even more rigid...tough...

Audi's stiff pricing and poor offer of freebies was the deal breaker for me. Even after trying out 2 diff SEs. Their product knowledge was poor also. Wana b-------t also CMI, yet cannot deliver good deal. They're giving an impression that since they had risen up to one of the best brands out there, they treat all buyers like carrot. Oh yah, they gave atrocious trade-in value for my old car also.

Was surprised by what MB can offer me during my purchase. No regrets. And i they secured high COE for me during my last chance to bid, which was kind of expected though.

When I was looking at them, they told me that their price never go down, can only go up.. so I tell them my money will only be that much, will never increase.. [:p]

Benz was ok but I wasn't prepared to pay that much more for C200 and 180 is rather zen and small to me.

their offer then wasn't close to what PML can offer as well.

So how much is your COE? what did u get har?

wow, with 318 on the market, 320 suddenly become a true blue BMW and is not a badge whore.. so much for the dozen of threads and pages of argument on 4port and inline6

This is better than makansurtra lost and found roti prata..

Anyway, not directed at you but generally, this is what I see when people start to slap label of badge whore and how the goal post shift.

It will take time..

Don't have to look too far back but how is audi like in the early 90s?

And VW's golf is all over the place now.. how many are there before 2005?

Will Opel reach the stage? time will tell.

Don't think so for Opel and they need to be better than Ford 1st before moving to the next level. Unless it is the Korean maker which they have did a significant change in term of all aspect.

Yes. their margin was the other thing that irks me. The car may be good but the pricing really put me off. they're not going to earn my money thats for sure.

like i mentioned earlier, their brand became more 'up' liao hence their better resale value. many offloaded their beemers for the four rings i heard. Getting a resale BMW now makes good sense actually.

Especially the 323s. same OMV as the 325 hence less dep. unless u're desperate for 28 horses more and i-drive, the 323 can be a good buy.

I think should also include the OMV of the above car for comparison. Then we will know which brand here has over charge the actual value of the car that selling in european countries.
