you all know why apple iphone and pad doesnt support flash ? not that they cannot technically, but its because users are then compelled to buy games from apple store, instead of playing flash based games (eg facebook) which are foc.

did anyone ever try buying phone from the states?

i saw iphone 3GS going for another USD$400, unlocked and jailed.

may i ask what do they mean by unlocked?

and will there be any concern if using locally?

u better be careful with overseas sellers of iphones. almost 99.9% of them are cheaters. u part with your money, you won't see any iphone coming your way other than a so call 'tracking no'.

If online banking is important and your bank acc is from OCBC and Citibank to you, iPhone may be your only choice as they have apps on iPhone. I don't think other platform has it. I may be wrong though.....

Forget about buying overseas... Too risky.... Besides, go mobinauts.com and you can see tons of people dumping their iPhones now in anticipation for the new generation. You may be able to find some bargain there....

Unlocked means SIM cards from any telco will work on the phone.

Can use locally or not depends on what GSM frequency bands the phone can support. Singapore telcos use 900MHz and 1800MHz I believe. I could be wrong.

The above is true for all mobile phones and not just iphone. Hope it helps.
