SINGAPORE: Some footballs fans who caught the World Cup on SingTel's Mio TV said that their viewing pleasure was marred by the poor transmission quality of the matches.

One of them is 19-year-old Lee Zheng Xuan, a student from the Singapore Polytechnic.

He said: "It was the first match of the World Cup. When we turned on the World Cup channel on Mio TV, the image just didn't load. We just got lots of grainy pictures and bits of sound here and there.

Supersonic

It's IP TV for goodness.

IP means there's a chance of server reset, hang, network and all kinds of problems.

You know, I *want* to feel sorry for them. Really. [:p]

But they supported those greedy cows (whether S***T** or S***H**, I don't care) despite the fact that they could have stood together with the rest of us and watched the matches for free (either via Internet or free2air). And now they're getting what they deserve.

At least I hope these subscribers raise hell, join together, demand refund, etc. etc. More fun to watch the saga play out in the media, on STOMP, etc. Get the popcorn ready.

Twincharged

Dun U guys realise this world cup like not as "hot", or popular like Korea 2002, and in 2006??

I think it's more because we getting old, so not so easily excited any more :D :D :D

When we were kids, or younger, easily fascinated or excited by little, little things that seem so unimportant now [rolleyes]

Yup, can feel this round world cup not so "happening" as compared to previous ones. Even the "GOAL" shouts around my neighbourhood seems to be much softer too...

I think so too, notice its quite pack at all the coffee shops around my area. Think quite a good number of people rather not subscribe to the telcos.
