The internet providers are trying to play punk , banning the website without reason. Not porn so not by mda . It is by those stupid broadcaster who are asking for it when they bid at 400mil and kill themselves , 400 mil or 150 million pound can buy a premier league team liao. Managed by clowns which can't even count.

One similarity , Singtel and Temasek are both run by woman , both new on the job are eagar to impress and took extraordinary risk only to fail badly. Sooner or later singapore would be a joke for paying this kind of money for t.v rights and soon people won't view here as an economic marvel but jokers that succumb to ransom.

No problem. Veetle and the "standalone" website without the p2p software have one downside. If there is 2 many soccer fans watching it simultaneously, it can sometimes just hang because of bandwidth constraint.

That why I am using Sopcast. Seldom have problem can watch it from beginning to end. The most important is the bitrate that you select............

Hi Ticklish8, thanks for sharing the info. Veetle is good. :D

After u install Sopcast, close it, then

Go here http://www.myp2p.eu/

Select

1) Live Sports

2) World Cup 2010

3) Next to Live! there is an icon, click on that

4) Then look at the list of software, Sopcast. Then u look and select at the bitrate 400-700 bitrate. The higher bitrate is of course much clearer, but take time to stream.

5) Then just click play!

6) Sopcast will launch automatically, u WAIT until it load 100%. Then watch lah....

Anyone can help me to understand veetle? I installed it but how to run it.

I installed sopcast as well but cannot find the channel showing world cup. Can any kind soul help?

hey guys... look at the 1st post of this thread. Those links give direct access to World Cup matches. I watched from there last nite. The 1st 3 links all worked, but some a bit jerky and lag.

The Veetle channels were initially good - especially the ESPN USA feed, which was crystal clear, but the English-broadcast ones (including ESPN) started dropping like flies (or is it "beetles" [:p] ) when "copyright claims" were apparently made. Meaning ESPN or FIFA or some other big fark sent Veetle a canned Cease and Desist order and they ran scared (so, to answer someone's question, this thing *is* illegal, but it's difficult to prosecute us end-users for infringement when it's streaming. So don't scared.).

In the end, I managed to fall back on my trusty (but often not so good-quality) link - http://www.firstrow.net/

The first link worked fine for me, and the quality was OK. I only watched the RSA-MEX match, and fell asleep in the second half, so missed the equaliser from Mexico. Still, a fairly boring match, except for the controversial goal in the first-half disallowed for supposed offside (it clearly wasn't).

Glad I didn't torture myself with the second match. Goal-less draws are so much fun...NOT!

Tried TVu first time. Initial 10mins mins some parts hang. Later on exit and restart, smooth all the way. Watching on CCTV-5. Streaming at 400kbs.

Cheers to all those who provided this alternative [bounce1][bounce1]

A few links were blocked after streaming half way, I think "Someone Is Not Going To Entertain Live" for free.
