Karu 6th Gear June 8, 2010 Share June 8, 2010 (edited) Not uncommon practice by dealers... Take away 20K off the odo. But this one kena spotted... Can report the error on the ad... But then they'll claim that it's a genuine typo & set back. Unless u go down take a pic of the odo... Anyway it's ur word against theirs... Blueblack Neutral Newbie June 8, 2010 Share June 8, 2010 forget it, I recently found out from workshop tat odo can be reset at less than $50 is good money for dealer, they reduce your selling price $500 / 1000 for a high mileage ride and spend $50 and sell as super lower mileage car whish cal easy fetch another $1000. Maybe can complain to CASE but in SG, it seems like to cheat customers is the normal practice now. Very hard for a customer to fight & win any case unless got 110% proof & black & white. Even then to get back any $$$ is going to b quite tough. There is very little protection for consumers in SG unlike most developed countries. Our standards r maybe 3rd world only. I wonder if there is a gharmen dept who is supposed to look into these kind of things? Or they just say "Buyer beware".

Benarsenal Turbocharged June 8, 2010 Share June 8, 2010 (edited) It is illegal, and in many countries offenders can be jailed for it. If this is rampant practice then the relevant authorities should do something and clamp down on it. It's a shame that people have to resort to such measures just to earn some extra money.
