honestly, none of those car in the 318 cat will beat its drive.... since it is a basic model, it will be more reliable then those highly tuned BMWs.

THe C class is a joke at these insane price. The IS250 is so cramp but drive fairly well, the VW lacks class. THe Audi 2.0 powerplant really very rough and doesnt drive nicely.

Among the 3 premium conti brands, I think BMW trump at this price though resale will kenna jialat due to low OMV. No frills but good drive. Alternatively look at a used Saab 95.

Just also to add, the supercharge or turbo charge engine will give problem after a while (I own these cars before). Hence I really was shock when the E250 is only a 1.8L compressor but cost a cut throat 235k.... the BMW 523 though cost 215k at a stupid omv of 37k still will drive and sound better than the E250... nothing beats big capacity and a straight six sound.

eh. shouldn't the 318 be written as detuned BMW instead?

yes it is a detune 2.0 valvetronic. Just like they detune the 2.5L engine to lower power and torque for the 523 and sell it as a entry 5. Effectively they are the same engine...

But honestly other than buying the car, PML is a terrible AD... [:(] All my buddies complain about them......

Was reading the 5 reviews.... this sums up driving a BMW

"cat-quick reflexes, refined engines that purr at low speeds, but build to a vicious growl as they, very quickly, build up speed. It's one with an interior that pleases the driver, but offer little to passengers. BMW sedans are the consummate driver's cars.

[laugh] too bad the servicing experience sucks...

NA means no forced induction, which a supercharger is...hahah

Superchargers have very good low-end torque although they taper off at relatively low RPMs...in contrast, turbos kick in at higher RPMs and last much longer...

Depends on how you drive lah bro...

Superchargers improve the daily driveability of the car and turbos are more for chionging...hahah

My previous car had a turbo [laugh]

thanks for the clarification bro! i didnt really got the meaning of NA..

haha if to choose supercharged cars.. i would want an Audi S4 if i have the chance but insurance sure wont accept!

anyways sg cant chiong!!

Hi all!!!

Just a short introduction of myself. My name is Bernard and i'm with Auto Eurokars. (Agent for Opel cars in Singapore)

I would like to take this opportunity to invite anyone who is interested or keen to test-drive the Opel Insignia. As what some say, only after u test the car, will you be able to feel and experience the real thing. No obligations at all even if you're here just for a test-drive. I'd be more than happy to entertain this request.

On a side note, the list price of the car is currently $149,888. (of course, this is price before discount.)

Do call me at 94741720 for a chat. Am very willing to entertain all test-drives

cheers!
