Hypersonic

It's not just about the horsepower my friend.

For pickup, you need torque more than horsepower.

It has 305Nm of torque from 1800rpm.

138hp only, but how come they like so power..

Because it has high torque. Diesel engines do not have high rpm, and the torque is served at low rpm, making it super flexible in any condition except high speeds - 305.0 Nm (31.1 kgm) @ 1800-2500 rpm ,148 bhp (110.4 kW) @ 3800 rpm. Therefore, it has got serious over-taking capabilities and initial acceleration...

Diesel Bhp no big deal....it's their torque that matters...have u not heard of this old saying : " Horsepower sells car...torque win races " [nod]

This afternoon i was on CTE. I was travelling on lane 1 (Overtaking lane) at abt 120+, there were also vehicles infront of me. I always like to keep a safe distance of about 3-4 cars length..Suddenly a fast approaching cab starting to tailgate me, what he did next was giving me a few taps of horn + beam. I wanted to give way to him by switching to lane 2 as i have my family members onboard(already quite pissed). But i have to find a space to squeeze into lane 2 to let this idiot overtake, after overtaking he still got the cheek to stare at me when he pass me. I immediately blast my STEBEL horn. Then he do the same fxxing thing to the car infront of him again and again.

Sometimes, those sonata cab drivers really drive dangerously.

Anyway, kudos for giving way! But he should not stare at you.

You want to give way to him but he must give you time to do so safely mah.

Even ambulance in emergency won't anyhow horn at ppl.

Anyway, I have observed that almost all sonata cab drivers tend to drive fast.

Last week, I was at a traffic light junction with sonata cab behind me.

When the green light comes, we proceeded.

As there was merging lane infront, I tried to keep left, expecting sonata cab to drive fast & overtake.

But as we approach the merging lane, I kept left & gave him space to speed up & overtake but he chose to follow closely behind. Upon seeing that, I decided to merge in first but he gave me a horn.

C'mon, I gave space to him but he didn't want to speed up so I merged first lor.

If he really want to overtake, do it decisively & not horn later because he had to follow behind me.

Can't stand them!

Those Taxi Sonatas are slow la, somemore dunno how to give way when they are hogging the right lane.

If one comes horning and high beaming, I would let him pass and drive behind him, let him clear the road for you la.

Even my Mz6 had a hard time pulling off the sonata from stationary. To the sonata cabs, you think camry stand any chances?

(edited)

Just to share, these sonata driving unkers have been struggling to control their right foot. Its tough for them when time is $ to you, and it does not halp that you have an excessively powerful car...

Many had their licenses suspended and asked to go for retraining at the driving centres to get their licenses reinstated because it was too easy to break the speed limit.

Without FI, I think u need at least a type-R or SSS to stand a chance?

These taxis are not turbo charged....But they are equipped with a CRDi...

They are diesel powered thus have higher torque.....

One thing to mention, these taxis are powerful...Its 2.0l diesel engine if i am not wrong...

Do you understand the term CRDI? [:|]
