Few hours of extra sleep is more than enough.

 

personally i think its better that he dont appear.

cause he cannot give any explanation while investigation is going on due to legal issue.

a lot of reasons beside what u suggested-

1) too stressed

2) advised by lawyers to do so

3) daily questioning by CAD

4) don't want to cause more controversy by appearing and the press crowds around him and cause a mess

 

and he's not hiding. he's still in SG.

same theory goes for the wife. why is she not at her husband's side now? maybe coz she is guilty and does not want to come back, or she knows kong hee fa chai is guilty and wants to distance herself from him. :)

 

This is not very fair. We shouldn't be second guessing why or why not the wife is not there when we don't know what is going on. Perhaps is not serious and the Pasta really is just helping (instead of "helping") in the investigations. Perhaps she has super important engagement. Perhaps lots of things.

 

Guilt shouldn't be imputed by what she is doing.

 

Same goes for why and why not appear in public, a very good argument could be made either way for this, (as can already be seen in this thread). I find it's a big favourite in Singapore to say, "he must be guilty because........, when in reality the because could mean lots of different things, its just the writer's interpretation that makes the individual guilty....

 

Having said that though, my personal OPINION is that any financial improprietry has originated from the Pasta, and is MOST LIKELY the result of a mixing of church and private business, as well as the church supporting "preferred" suppliers that are also church members. I also SUSPECT that there is some tax evasion and under declaration of benefits going on (as in the Church buying stuff for the Pasta when it's not supposed to be).

 

IF this really does turn out to be the case, I hope the Pastor really does become Pasta and gets boiled in hot water and then serviced with a nice creamy sauce mixed with garlic, spring onions and sauteed bacon. mmmm.....yummy

Well maybe KH had started out with good intentions... perhaps he started with needing the reserves to run the church, donating to the needy, preach to the people that they can prosper etc.. then who knows.. over time, the reserves amassed became so huge... to the extent that it became extravagant... and hence, irked the public.

 

Whether those good intentions got overcome by greed... hmm.. this one have to wait for CAD to come up with a conclusion then we'll know...

 

oh well.. Man are, after all, fallible flesh and blood.. easily swayed by temptations... haha..

i think the posts here target KH a lot. let's not forget there are 17 others. it could be all, some or not even KH but others. I think those who didn't rest could be innocent. so the 2 guys who led on Sun should be innocent.

Last time I remember that we had credit card stolen. Wife had to go make statement at Cantonment (be interviewed). We went together, the officer took her to back room alone (I wasn't allowed to accompany) for more than an hour.

 

I was freaking. Was not logical, but I knew that if the officer had decided for whatever reason that she was guilty he could have detained her without telling anybody (or at least without telling me).

 

Fear and insecurity, stress and what worries us is not always logical you know.

depends, sometimes can be stress. for eg, i'm driving and out comes this kid dashing suddenly and i jam brake and he still dies.

 

i'll still be very stress although i'm innocent. we never know until we hear what KH says to the press or to the courts if there's a trial.

the general public in singapore believe in Guilty until proven innocent.

i don't think it's illegal, at least for private companies to work with preferred suppliers. Govt got rules abt this but not private. so can't be wrong unless the quotes are not market rate.

 

another thing although i know is not relevant is how often KH has to be away and not be with his family. i wonder if this has an effect on his marriage or him raising his son. i'm sure the son needs a father figure around. just a thought on his personal life.

We dont know the legal implication if he had accidentally leak anything about the investigation accidentally before CAD finish their investigation.

And we also do not know if CAD told him not to appear in public to talk about this incident.

not sure but looking at wiki, Durai's crimes was in the thousands. what's scary about CHC is its in the millions. the more $, the heavier the sentence. i remember some beer exec got 20+ years jail. it's not looking good.
