So far so good and happy with my Marbella M880 Slim deluxe.

The lock on should not take more than 2 mins, would recommend you call up the service centre and get a new set :)

Anyone managed to get their "quarterly updates" before?

It's over six months since I bought the M660 and there has not been an update link sent to my email address...

And yes, it takes a very long time for it to get a GPS lock...

By comparison, my iPhone 4 and even my iPad would get a signal almost instantaneously...

bought M660+ Friday @ SGD$139/-

- GPS unit

- Suction mount + plastic clip for GPS unit

- AC charger (USB)

- car lighter adapter with USB cable

spent weekend in JB/Palm Resort

- need to switched MAP to Peninsula Malaysia

- volume not adjustable while in GPS mode

- GPS directed to incorrect turns towards Palm Resort

- GPS directed to unnecessary turns out of Pam Resort/Senai Airport

- GPS did not give correct route to/from a mall 10minutes drive from Palm resort...

Used Garmin 1460 for Malacca trip last year, more user-friendly I must say.

Just updated my map to the March 2011 version last week.

Go to their website and download it then upload it to the memory card.

Don't wait for the email.

I m using Marbella as well. One good thing about using this brand is that besides they provide frequent updates on maps to our email, the other is that you can go down their office to T-loan another country map (besides singapore & malaysia) for FOC.

Hi all,

Thanks for all the sharing.

I'm looking for an accurate gps in the $300-400 range.

Shortlisted Garmin 255w, Garmin 1450, Marbella 990 and Tom tom 250.

I thought the specs on the Marbella looks promising- any one has a unit? care to share your review?

cheers!
