but are the devices card-dependent ? i mean, can our DVRs make use of the speed of such cards such as the class10 card ? I believe our DVRs have capacity limitations at 32gbs .... but what abt speed ? the most common high speed one is class 6, whereas class 10 is something "new".

Yes.. I am bit unsure about this.

I did a bit of Internet research this morning and came up with a spreadsheet comparison of all the SDHC cards of various brands sold at SLS in 8BG/16GB/32Gb capacity of all the available classes. See the attachment for details (MS Excel 2007 format). The 2nd worksheet has some explanations of SD "class" speeds comparisons.

I think I am going to try out the Sandisk Ultra 16GB - seems the most bang per buck - according to my comaprison, ithe cheapest is at Cybermind for $59.

I'll ask if there are discounts for bulk purchase... those interested may want to organise an MO, if so.

My source for the comparison is from the latest pricelists at Hardwarezone.

Sorry.. you are right ...seems corrupted

I have resaved in Excel 2003 version and uploaded again.

Don't download the zipped version - just d/l the .xls version. The upload function seems to corrupt the file inside the zip.

try contacting the manufacturer to find out the device's max read/write speed.

no point getting the fastest if it can't utilize the speed.

The yellow highlight is on MSC, but if you do not press the OK key, after 5 sec it will auto record. You can try on your laptop, it is the same behaviour.

Cheers,

I think the most common one is Kingston or Sandisk SDHC 2GB or 4GB class 4, they should work.

I just tried to view the video in my PC, and I realised ALL the videos are not sharp! The resolution is good, but the images are blurry! It's like an off-focus camera image!

Anyone has this problem? Could there be a problem with the lens?

I seem to have some problem with my car charger - it doesnt 'stick' inside my socket at all. It just pops out and there will be no power supply. I have to apply pressure for it to stay in. Is there anything ssuggestions?
