Lucky I was a fit commando back in my NS days. No worries, if they are Toyota Vios, I must have been Ferrari F430. Thanks to Goh Keng Swee for giving me NS. I love you. They chased him for 200m

Kallang attackers may have also targeted another man

A 55-year-old dishwasher was talking to his friend on his mobile phone when strange men beckoned from a distance.

But the man, who wanted to be known only as Mr Chang, did not stop. His first instinct was to flee.

This was around the same time that four vicious attacks that left one man dead and three others severely injured occurred at Kallang and Sims Drive.

Police have arrested five of the seven men suspected to be involved in the attacks. The Malaysians, from Sarawak, are work permit holders here.

He ran for about 200m.

He claimed the men stopped chasing him when they saw passengers alighting from a taxi and two private cars near the block.

that's how dangerous singapore can be with all these low end foreigners coming in. although i don't have the stats, seems like a lot of muders take place among foreigners and worse still, now it's about killing locals and we locals don't carry knives around. if only govt can let locals carry guns. I mean do we have a choice?

Neutral Newbie

If the government dont take in those low end foreigners, who is going to do the dirty work. They are here to fill up the low end job which locals will not do. If we complaint about low class job associate to low pay job, how are we going to curb the inflation if a cleaning lady job is salaried at $3000 a month, a hawker assistant wants to get paid at $3500 a month. Perhaps, a simple mee-bok will have to sell at $50 per bowl.

Properties price will skyrocket to perhaps a 3 room HDB will fetch $3-4 million as the construction workers want to earn $10000 per month. Then, those job which offer $4-5000 will become low pay job....never ending.......

What we shall do is just be extra careful n keep alert. The society will always consist of multi level of people, those high class and those low class. We cannot live without them.

So cannot use HP in Kallang area?

Will there be second group of robbers or copy cat robbers? Or are the potential robbers scared and realised the POWER of the super efficient singapore police force cannot play play one?

Is it safe now that 6 are already caught?
