Sorry Yuan, care to explain what you mean by that? Can it be transferred across cars? So I should ask ard to see who is selling?

I share from my limited experience. Best is to check with Joey.

If person A has done QF to his car, he can sell the QF to another person B. Person B will have the QF and he will not be able to sell or transferred after that. It stays with the car.

As to whether it can be transferred to another make or model, like I say, check with him.

Depends on which NA car... for mine.. it does wonders....

yeahhh

on C63s you gain 60 bhp from a Kleemann tune

(edited)

It is true for NA cars that the gains are usually not particularly impressive for the money spent. Driveability might improve though due to the flattening of the torque curve after a tune. For turbo charged engines, the gains are typically 20-30% from stock for hp and torque. Improvement is very noticeable.

I would think DIY only if you know what you are doing. You would also need to understand what each parameter means when you do data logging during a tune.

you are right, most NA cars will improve on driveability.

for my case, I did dyno tune with original ECU data-logging (by Joey of Harmony) with Simota Carbon Charger (now on K & N Tornado), SS4-1, "meow-meow" locked up at home [:p] , op muffler, BBTB & IM phenolic spacer:

150 BHP & 209 NM vs stock 139 BHP & 189NM

Thanks Yuan for your explanation.

Yes, QF can be transferred once. As long as they are in the same price category, eg. Getz - Lancer - Avante - Carens - Airtrek NA, etc. The fee is $107.00. You still need to pay the seller at an agreed price.

But bad news is I have stopped selling QF package. You can only get it on the transfer market. But 2nd hand QF cannot have further transfer.

The present package is Customised ECU Programming and for most Asian Make NA car is $880 nett.

Thanks and safe driving.

yes yes Huat ah... Ang Bao Draw might just change my life... lol

since this thread is on ECU matters... got a question...

there are many ws in Malaysia that can do a quick reflash to the stock ECU to improve the ride... how good is it is anybody's guess... i went throught many lists and realised i cannot find a reflash for the Nissan Sentra (Sunny) N16.... something different about the ECU?... also it seems that for the N16, talking out the batt even more more than 24hours will not even reset the error codes, meaning the ecu was not reset?... seems hondas ecu will reset if batt is taken out... am referring to cars of the late 90s...

DO NOT reflash ECU as it is not of much use unless yr car is exactly identical to the car which the reflash ECU software has been created.

The idea of ECU software upgrade is to enhance yr car performance based on actual air/exhaust, petrol and igntition characteristics. Depending on whether u have changed any of these, the ECU needs to be re-programmed to optimise the car performance.

Best way to go is to upgrade yr air intake, exhausts, ignition and use otance 98 and then go for ECU upgrade -- can be piggy back or re-tune yr ECU using upgraded software. I have done this for several of my cars and it has always worked out well.

Hope above info is of use to u.
