Oklor76 Neutral Newbie May 21, 2010 Share May 21, 2010 I am driving an integra. Recently the motor for adjusting the left hand side mirror become very sluggish and sometime not even able to move. Is there any place where I can get it replace. I went to my normal workshop. He told me that I have to replace the whole side unit. Anyone know if I can just get the replacement motor? Thanks Lawrence ↡ Advertisement

Thanks Lawrence ============= Ya u need to change the whole unit. Try to get a 2nd hand piece from scrapyards. U wil save a bundle. Last time I got a pair for my COE car for only $50. New wud prob cost several hundred $$$. ( the internal mounting broke on 1 piece) B4 u change, try to spray some lube oil into the gap of the mirror & housing to lube the plastic gears inside. I kept my mirrors smooth by oiling them every couple of years. If u know how to disassemble the mirror to clean & re-grease the plastic gears inside, even better. Dont use WD40 for this. Use a proper lube oil spray like RP7 or similar. Dont spray too much cos u might soak & damage the electric motors in there. Most likely the grease on the plastic gears have dried & hardened up only. Lubing them wil loosen the hard grease & the mirrors sud move smoothly again.
