Hi guys,

 

got a query about this phone.

 

For sync, when connected with laptop with data cable, i can use the laptop's internet connection to surf the net on the phone. Is that right?

 

How about the reversal ? which means that if my phone is connected with 3G, can my laptop surf the net using the phone's connection?

Yes you can. It's called tethering.

 

Connect your phone to the laptop (via USB/Bluetooth) -> Internet Sharing

Did you face any lagging problem with this phone? Mine is really terrible cos after tap on screen, need about 2 secs to respond. :angry:

lag gets better after you install the Spb Mobile Shell. But what can u say? it's a WM phone...

I have a very interesting problem with this phone once upon a time that I upgraded the phone shortly after. One time during office meeting, I forgot to switch to silent mode. So my lovely Omnia II ringed with my nice funky ringtone. So i quickly took out the phone and tried to 'decline' call. But windows being windows, it hanged on me.

 

So there I was whole office staring at me with the stupid phone ringing in my hands, unable to turn the stupid thing off. Then had to fumble and take out battery all that. The following week I got rid of it. hahaha

I given up my Omnia 1, too difficult to use. Finger nail must be pointed to navigate the menus.

Nope, you're wrong...Not because its a Windows mobile phone.. Because its Windows! Hanging + Blue screen = windows trademark! hahaha

the Omnia 2 is a nice phone,

 

but is letdown by Windows OS....

 

now the price is dirt cheap, probably due to the fact that nobody's interested in one anymore

 

(it used to be rather popular when the Omnia 1G came out....3.8inch display and all the features you'll need)....
