Tkseah Turbocharged May 14, 2010 Share May 14, 2010 That is a rather dim view of humanity right? That everyone from 18 to 60 needs to be punished in order to behave. Like that might as well issue all people who pass TP with $120 fine and 3 demerit points for the offence they are about to commit. If the idea is we need to deploy police everywhere in order for people to behave, then I think this country have no hope already. Education level is high high buy social responsibility on par with Zimbabwe. If everyone can behave without policing, then we would not need to have locks liao.. Do u feel a need to lock your car and house? ↡ Advertisement
Aeromania 1st Gear May 14, 2010 Share May 14, 2010 This is all wrong man... TP are suppose to make sure every road users to use the road safely. Now all they care is catch more vehicles. Meet quota I suppose...
Parkingidiot 1st Gear May 14, 2010 Share May 14, 2010 What if the driver happens to be colour blind and/or short sighted? color blind and shortsighted cannot get driving licence... shouldn't be driving in the first place.
Bystander50 5th Gear May 14, 2010 Share May 14, 2010 Saw one civilian hiding behind a tree along macpherson road filming drivers driving on bus lanes at about 8am The question next is the summon valid if the enforement officer is not in uniform doing his work. Plain clothes policeman doing their work is understandable, but for others, not in uniform = off shift right?

Renegade777 5th Gear May 15, 2010 Share May 15, 2010 Errr....actually Australian highway really have these type of signs. "Warning..Speed cam xxx metres ahead. Slow down now." Dunno. But think that by right before we reach the deployment of speed cams, there should be a warning sign telling motorist that speed cam ahead and to slow down. This is to warn motorists that you are too fast and have to slow down for safety sake. Can see this kind of signs last time whenever there are speed cams deployment. Even at traffic lights, if there are red light cameras, they will have to warn you to be careful before reaching the lights. This is to tell and caution you to drive safe and there is cameras. This is customer service telling motorists to slow down and drive safe and should be deployed only at risky or accident prone areas. But now, I dont get to see all this. They anyhow deploy and just want to catch motorists that is all. Sub-standards.

Pisces69 6th Gear May 15, 2010 Share May 15, 2010 Why is it the officers catching bus lane violaters need to hide behind a tree? Why is it officers with speed cams must ambush from overhead bridges? Now there are even reports of TP in plain clothes. Why can't people doing 官 work be 光明正大 and announce their pressence? I ask this question because I am pondering the root principle behind traffic enforcement. Is it to prevent accidents or to make money? Is the sneaky method employed because the govt thinks we are very childish? ================== Now alot of this enforcement work is contracted out to private companies by TP so these contractors r trying to show that they r very good at catching violators & resort to such underhanded tactics. If TP was catching, they cannot do this cos pple wil complain that they r being sneaky & underhanded but now its dome by private contractors, they dont really bother as long as they get a healthy supply of summones every week, they r happy. Pisces69 6th Gear May 15, 2010 Share May 15, 2010 POLICE SPEED CAMERA 100M AHEAD!!!!! POLICE SPEED CAMERA 50M AHEAD!!!!!! POLICE SPEED CAMERA 10M AHEAD!!!!!! YOU TIO PAWNED!!!!! =============== Ya. If they gave warning like that wil b good.
Pisces69 6th Gear May 15, 2010 Share May 15, 2010 Alternatively you could ponder another root principle - would a driver violate the law openly knowing that a law enforcer is in the open? =============== Then why do they warn motorists about those fixed speed cams along the eways? They sud do it for those mobile speedcams too. At least for safety sake.

Freestylers09 5th Gear May 15, 2010 Share May 15, 2010 (edited) sometimes wondering why they nid to be sneaky or openly to catch pple be it for profit or whatever reason... issit we Singaporeans lack of Self discipline for these rules and regulations to occurs..and SPECIALLY to have them to hide n catch or openly? be it in profit or whatever reason....why we never though of "do we have the discipline when come to things in life on it"?Chewing gums ban is v good example... so i conclude this way every bros here never over speed limit b4? if so..what do we have the rights to ask about it? talking about setting regulations, theres too many debates on whats right n wrong ..esp on figures of the limit etc... very mean but true like Gearoi say " leading life right and cleanly, why are so troubled by rules and laws?" who can earn from u or charge u if u never do anything wrong n be bothered by sneaky mouse to generate quota and $ etc..
