depends on whether you need 2 seater or 2 + 2 seater.

depends on whether you want above 2.5liters or below.

depends on whther you prefer Jap or Conti

slowly funnel more questions and you will get your answer

I'm also slowly exploring options. But baseline, i am looking at a sub 5s car that is track ready without too much effort. Road tax being kept down is a big bonus too i suppose

Like that the only car that comes to mind is the Lotus Exige.

Is the 335/tts/a5 a 5s car? Should be quite easy to get them on the track without much effort right?

I guess more or less, you have short-listed some options in mind??

Why don't you share your thoughts so that we can give better advices.

Else can I just throw out a wild idea: With $250K, why don't you buy 1250 Autoart Lamborghini Reventons? no worries if you crash one, or if it goes up in flames outside SMU cuz you still have 1249 units on standby at home.... :D

I dont think so.

If it's a track car you are looking at, get an E46 M3 and prep it up.

no point wasting money getting a new car under $250k

Brather, how much do you know about cars?

Lotus Exige

Engine CC: 1.8L (Road tax low enough for you?)

0-100km/hr: 4.3s (sub 5s)

This car is known as the track god. Can out brake & out corner more expensive supercars like Ferraris & Lambos.

It cost close to $250 at $253k(taken from sgcarmart).

Those BMW and Audi must have M badges & RS badges to fall in the sub 5s cat and they cost much more dan $250k.

Just that it has wheels and tires and an engine :)

tongue in cheek.

Good recommendation, that was one of the options I had in mind. Will find out more......
