Many uncle aunty car buyers will not check the price trend before they buy.

As long as its Toyota and got guarantee COE plus FREE petrol and maintenance = good buys must buy.

In fact that is good for them, buy happily and drive happily. anyway car is an luxury item. [rolleyes]

Hi there, do not forget New AVANTE is on the way. Komoco will lelong the old model soon. Same as Kia Cerato. Just my opinion.

The price for the Previa like not too bad leh, maybe max $10k more expensive than the cheapest PI estima you can find. Moreover its one bid guaranteed.

Any bro can advise on Previa vs Estima? That said, I do see a lot of estimas on the road, and hardly any Previas

You should take a look at the new Mazda 8, I was just waiting for my friend and wonder into the showroom the other day, very impressive IMHO. I especially like the 3D holographic meter display

Many BM salesmen Auto resigned in last 2 months knowing they will encounter more sh*t if they stay on. Now see what happening to BM, they will be laughing their ass-off now.

More likely those salesmen who resign [bigcry] big time coz there will more orders means more commission to make but they let this $$$ slip out their hand.

Wish for 108988?

I paid 79000 in Jan with 19K coe. How do they justify the 30K extra?? did coe increase to 49K now??? and i thought i read sales drop so they slash price???

if i am not wrong, wish should be from japan? if that is so, then its because japanese yen have risen quite a far bit since 2009 jan...but i believe AD will always still have a high margin, they need to pay fix overheads, and also high inventory risk..

its becoz of this 1 bid guranteed COE which is why the coe prices will go up...wth

Let's see. If BM order book really dried up, COE might not go up in next bidding.

Previa, 4 spd auto, 2 airbags, slightly pricey, not so sleek looking, smaller (think its 16").

Estima, 7 step i-CVT, some models with 6 airbags, cheaper, AERAS model sleek looking with bigger rims (think its 17")

This is from memory when I was looking to buy an MPV about 18mths ago, specs might have changed.

In the end settled for a PI Vellfire.

I remember 2 years ago, while in the mkt for cars

Comparing same model.

AD OMV 21K, sell price 73K

PI OMV 17K sell price 70K

the basic price for the car after arf, tax, duty.

PI save about 10K but not reflected in sell price.

Yup, the new wish are coming from Japan. i am not sure how much Yen has appreciated over last 5 months. But it only goes to show that BM is taking this coe hike to make a killing!

Sales has since drop. If only everyone STOP buying for next 3-4 months for any make, i am sure all prices and coe will plunge...then all jump in to snap up at lower prices on the same date. :D

sorry to burst your bubble but please don't be naive.

If people really behave like you said, every COE bidding, COE would be sold at $1

The few ways to bring down the COE

1. abolish the Open Cat

2. pay as you bid

3. buyer bid for own COE instead of leaving to the dealers

but some people won't approve of that cos they want the COE to be high
