I did that for 8 years when I was working there. 14hrs non-stop flight. ^_^

 

I would think twice b4 flyin US of A again. The flight time really CMI. Its like 4 ever. I was going c'mon, go faster....quick quick quick..wah lan 3 hrs only...I am dying, I am dying over the friggin Pacific. Dunno when I will get over it again. Anything up to 6 hrs is still okay. :wacko:

Very disgraceful.... the best is at any airport.... about to board the plane.... You will see people queueing right infront just to board the plane.... U know they are singaporeans... come on.. is reserved seating.. you go in early or late... that seat is still yours... how stupid can you be?

This couple tried to out-elbow us when the gate was opened. I let them go ahead.

They were turned back because it was only for business class boarding first. I tried not to be mean and looked elsewhere while we boarded.

They were turned back because it was only for business class boarding first. I tried not to be mean and looked elsewhere while we boarded.

 

I always try to be the last one. We all arrive at the same time anyway.

 

But frankly, I like to get off as fast as I can becoz I need to smoke. :D

Let me quote an incident a few years back, in Tokyo

 

My wife, myself and two japanese friends (ladies) were shopping at Blue label along harajuku. As we were inquiring the staff about some colours of the bags, a group of our fellow countrymen came into the store, loud and "appearing high class". Just planted themselves onto the sofa like some big shots, demanded (yes, demanded) to change the colour of a bag they bought yesterday. The poor salesgirl was so traumatized as she could not really speak english. The way the group of Singaporeans acted was seriously nothing less than uncivilized.

 

My nice japanese friend went to the rescue of the sale assistant. They subsequently told her the other shop is in Ginza as they do not have the colour she wants here.

 

"Har? Where is ginza? Is it near Eunos (yes, the auntie said EUNOS)? Can go by MRT?"

 

(I later figured she meant Ueno -- wu-eh-no)

 

Still refusing to budge, she kicked up a fuss and complained in her most broken english etc etc and how she flew by SQ here from Singapore etc etc. My japanese friend then pointed out we were from Singapore too, and the auntie loudly proclaim "oh, we flew by SQ you know?"

 

After they left, I kept apologising to the badly traumatized sales staff on duty.

Now I know how EUNOS name come from... UENOs -hahahahaa.....

Same same lah, but he gets to FEEL, HOLD, and SMELL all the "exhibits" as well. [laugh]
