Just want to find out if many ppl booked a kia car during the recent weekend where KIA had this $10k promotion.

What do you think of your chances to get the COE next round?

Model, Price and accessories you got?

Looks like all major brands come with 5 yrs warranty...not just KIA.

Avante also up..i bio the 1.6M at $53999.. now asking for 54999... i think buyers are going in as they might find this COE pricing in the $20K+ range reasonable..

ya. some still prefer to wait an see.

hyundai and kia might have reached their quota for next round....any more orders will result in them trying to outbid each other.

only the govt will stand to gain.

it's better they spread out their bids, and maintain the coe at a reasonable price.

no point cutting each others' throat.

guess they learnt it from past few months, where govt just happily sit there and wait for bloodshed.

now, hyundai and kia are doing their own moderation...

if you dun mind the higher price, you will have higher chance....

What i could see, Hyundai and KIA are taking the steps of Toyota. Toyota make a mistake during Early Jan this yr for their CNY promo but they manage to secure large order, when the COE shot up, they told all customer to top up with lossing a bit of reputation but manage to retain at least 60% of their CNY order with top ups and retaining a large no of backlog throughout the 3mths.

So Hyundai and KIA might have think this way, since Toyota can do it why can't we. So they lower their car prices and lock booking for 3 mths to those who do not know.

Please don't flame me.....Just my 2cow cents...

fyi, the 10K disc is misleading. Not sure if u noticed.

When COE was 30K, 1.6 SX (M) was $66.9K

Now COE 26K, 1.6 SX (M) is $62.9k. (increased from 60.9K)

Where is the 10K discount?

Speaking about Avante, the S and non-S model difference so huge? 10K!

I dun rmb it being that huge.

Like I have been saying - it's not just BM doing so, other AD also pull such stunts. Only difference is don't why BM's case has made headline of news & ST papers.

They lock you in, when COE is low, all happy. When COE is high, they ask for top up, if not they hold your deposit for 6 bids & then refund lor. No harm to them IMO, but to consumers they may loose the opportunity when COE is relatively low.

Just my 2 cents.

U're making baseless statements & asumptions based on ur cynical belief of others.

Don't u tink dat C&C would know NOT to make the same mistake as BM? Contrary to wat u may tink, the business of AD is to sell cars to customers not to "cheat" them, they gain nothing by locking a customer in and have much to lose in terms of their reputation. KIA is enjoying big market share now being #1 and #5 top selling models (forte and forte koup respectively) for 1st quarter TY - why would they go and spoil it by pulling a borneo?

U ask ppl dun flame u after u make this kind of statements? Why dun u tell the police u going to rob a bank but please dun catch u? U reap wad u sow.

Hyundai have a stake in Kia, another words, Hyundai owns Kia. See the similarity of the engines they used for certain models? eg Kia Caren elite and the new I45(2l) using the same engine.

So brothers don kill brothers.

So if a hyundai owner bashes Kai, he is bashing himself.

If COE prices hold steady, why not wait a couple of months, the 2011 Avante's coming right?

These AD are more and more like electrical shops.

Many times the electrical shop will advertised just released items at say $500, with a crossed mark on the MRRP $699.

Meaning they WISHED they can sell at $599 to suckers, but their conscience says just sell at $500 and can still make enough profit.

So car business also like this lately.

When they say give $10,000 discount, it simply means that the higher price was a fantasy dream by the CEO/Directors who wished to sell at higher price so that he can have higher profit margin to afford his Veyron and Good class Bangalows.

But on the ground, due to competition, AD cannot sell at the CEO/Directors dreamt price.

So to make it sound like they are given the customers a good deal, they proudly said they are giving us a $10,000 discount!

You got to love this type of advertistment.
