Need advice on parking offence

hey guys,

 

ok the situation is like this. i park on the side of the road with no lines and discontinued white lines in the middle. my car is at least 10m away from the nearest junction, but still got a traffic offence notice from cisco officer stating that car in parked in a manner creating obstruction.

 

i need anyone who knows what is meant by obstruction in traffic offence terms becos its very grey area. i presume the private property owner nearby buey song my car park there so call the cisco to come. i know i can appeal, but i just want to know if the cisco officer keep coming n abuse his authority n slap a summon everytime i park there, then how? i cannot everytime also appeal right? perhaps LTA should draw the double yellow line there or continuous white lane in the middle to prevent people from parking. its just injustice to be penalise becos of someone else incompetency.

Did you park too far away from the curb? That might be it. If no, did you take photo's of the car and scene to appeal with???

as long you are not parking in a lot you can be summon for this offence

Think ur case actually should not get a fine according to the traffic rules...nevertheless...do write in to appeal...i think u got good chance..ur speculation abt somebody complaining is v.likely

If there is no white line in the middle and double yellow line at the side means it is a private road and you are not penalise for that.

 

I have also have an incident few years back which the TP came and just advise those drivers to park at one side of the road instead of both side and no summon has been issued. For your case not to be worried, take photos and email to them and can be wavied off the fine.

Hi all, have you all encountered any parking attendants that looks like underaged? below 20 years old??

 

saw once when the girl looks like 15 and wearing an oversized uniform issuing summon..recently saw another one and talk to the attendant..when i say they seems to look very young, she start avoiding the topic...

 

if we got summon and the attendant is still there, can we ask them to produce their Pass or NRIC to check if their name is the same as the one written on the summon??? if not, can don't pay cos they might be substituting for their relative etc? haha...just out of curiosity..

Did you park your car in such a way that it obstruct the owner of the house from easily getting in or out of his house?

some wardens dont really by book,,, got chance only just issue tickets

for traffic offence if there is yellow marking ( got timming ) or 2 yelow marking...

or maybe someone complain?

this isnt an light offence. you will be fined heavily (i heard its 800-2000) if you are unable to produce the same parking coupons and show that it isnt a reuse.

 

so please prepare cash when you go to court.
