Long Lost Skills of Driving

In ancient times, when the world was a happier and more peaceful place, the old masters used to practise these skills. However, due to ego, ignorance and a descend to the dark side, the following skills have been lost to us. Maybe somewhere in a forgotten room in TP HQ, the manuals to these lost arts still exists and their rediscovery will one day bring light to our roads again.

- Signalling

- Giving way

- Check blind spot

- Small lane give way to big road

- Stopping outside a yellow box

- Merging lane

- Waving thank you

- Using a roundabout

- Stopping without causing obstruction

What other legendary driving skills have been buried by the sands of time?

Since I am free, let me try hor.

Make sure u r not facing an upward slope.

Put gear to neutral for manual and manual overide for auto tranny.

One person at the wheel while one or more to push.

Once car is moving, turn ignition key.

Do not step on brake throughout whole process until engine is started, otherwise, those people pushing will have a hard time.

Auto dont tink can push start. Manual, key turn to on, clutch in gear 1 or 2 then push... gain more speed already throw the clutch to jump start the engine. Should be like that la if not wrong.

Correct! My mistake.....hahaha

I keep remembering last time, those who pushed the car from behind always banged against the car becoz the car stopped. Yup, it's the clutch not the brakes that is causing the sudden jerks when the push start did not happen.

Push start a car in MSCP is easier than on a flat road... Flat road you need 2 ppl...

This one I know. Almost every car I owned has a flat battery... [thumbsdown]

How can you push your car when you are in Gear 1 or 2 ??

You have to be in Neutral.

Only from the momentum of a moving car that you can Turn the key and engage Gear 1 or D mode....

It looks you guys never did it before...

mayb u misunderstood.. whats the diff between gear 1 or 2 or 3 or 4 or 5, when the clutch is in as compared to neutral?

and the car doesnt have to be in motion before u can turn the key or engage gear..

on a side note, u have to turn the key even before u start moving.. or else you might just lock the steering

I think he mean clutch in to gear 1. then engage Clutch. push start and release clutch, in short, let the propellor shaft jump start the engine for you.
