The real Type R has signal lights on the wing mirrors right? Last time I used to look for the single exhaut but I think many people modify that.

i think the real R don't have signal lights on the wing mirrors cos you don't have to signal in the track.....ha......

I will also debadge if the cost of doing so is not expensive.

Like that, I can do a leisurely 60km/hr at my own time own target or > than that if I feel like it. So shiok. No one will ever give your car a 2nd glance. Best! [thumbsup]

Oh lord, allow me to win ToTo tonight.

So that I can buy my dream Farrari.

But to avoid families and relatives from knowing I strike lottery and got money, and want to borrow from me......

I promise to replace the standing horse symbol with a suzuki emblem. Also to stick stickers like Mugan, apexi,DOHC near the side mirror.

Best to be humble and have a sleeper car.

Can someone explain the rationale behind debadging a real Type R?

If I had a real Type R, I would leave the shiny badge on for the whole world to see.

It is only when I have a Type R-lookalike that I would remove all badges to sow confusion.

Is my analysis correct? Can I conclude that a car that looks like Type R but don't have any badges is most likely an impersonator?

If i had a Type-R, i would debadge it too...or even put a 1.6 ivtec behind... [laugh] [laugh] so that if any punks come and disturb me with their souped up rice cars thinking 1.6L good to bully..i'll let them smell the exhaust from the K20A.. [laugh]

I think your rationale is logical. There is a higher chance that someone don't want others to know that he bought a lower-end model of the same range. For example, Civic has 1.6L, 1.8L and 2.0L all have the same exterior. The simplest thing to do is to remove all decal and for you and me to guess. Those really hardcore one, will remove their 1.8L and paste the 2.0L decal.

Of course, I also came across someone who purposely take away their decal though they owned a higher-end model but very rare lah [laugh] .

Regards,

bro,

1.6 Civic outside looks diff from 1.8/2L Civic

1.6 don't have signal indicator on the mirror, the door handle is not chromed and exhaust tip also not chromed..

and the, the front brakes of 2L is bigger than the 1.8 and 1.6L variant..
