Collected my 2012 Kia Soul today!

 

Here's a quick run-through of the equipment listing:

 

1. projector headlamps
2. fog lamps
3. day running lights
4. auto-control for headlamps
5. electric + foldable mirrors
6. signal repeater on mirrors
7. auto dimming rearview mirror
8. bluetooth with answer/end-call button on steering wheel
9. audio controls on steering wheels
10. smart key/keyless entry
11. push start engine
12. mood lamps on the side of the 2 front doors
13. 6 speed auto gearbox

 

My 2 cents worth:

 

Engine noise can be hear within the car up to around 30 km on the speedometer; after that, the overall sound level is acceptable (to me at least). In addition to the cabin noise, I also found the dashboard is tad too plasticky but overall I am very satisfied with the car.

 

The bluetooth function as well as auto-dimming mirror came as a rather nice surprise as I wasn't expecting C&C to include them in the Singapore version of the Kia Soul.

 

Not much else to talk about really, since its not exactly sporty nor visually stunning

Anyways, did spotted the pre-fl soul around ytd.... It was brown in color.... Haha!!!

Didn't check with AD, but when i was at the delivery bay, didn't see any other Kia Souls around so i'm presuming so!

Nowadays dont think you can find many new cars at the delivery bay at AD. So what colour is your soul?

After driving it for the couple of days, I must say that I'm starting to like the Soul more and more.

 

I really enjoy the height & forward visibility that it affords, as well as the ample space for both front and rear passengers.

 

No regrets getting it!

went to test drive the soul yesterday.

 

dunno but it just didn't give me the right feeling..

 

may look good on paper with the specs (led stuff, 6speed gearbox etc), but feeling of driving is weird..

Any comments on the boot space? Am driving the avante now. quite interested in the soul facelift. But saw from the pictures the bootspace like not much. have not seen the actual thing. can comment?

Since you are driving the avante now, how come you dont consider the elantra?

elantra pricing quite premium now leh... then been eyeing the soul for some time cause wanted to change to a SUV like car.. but of course cannot afford full size suv la.. actually I lie everything abt the soul except the boot not sure is it big or not. cause i like the avante boot quite big....

 

so thought some of the bros here driving one can comment? work has been killing so no time yet to go and test drive one. now got six speed gearbox even more reason to get one..

HI guys,

 

i just tested the 2012 Soul today. Did not make a booking (minimum 1000 bucks only), installment around 990 fo 100% loan.

 

The car takes 12 secs to hit 100km/hr...but thats hard work. That car is good enough for SG roads.....maybe a bit uncomfortable for long distance drive, NSH driving.

 

Noise level a bit high but still bearable. My wife and my son loves the car.....should be reliable ba...haha

 

Just a note to others, the trading price for my Chery is horrbile but Kia can do overtrade.....can be more than 10k....anyway, i should dropping a 1k booking fee and will chose the green latte colour (must wait at least 2 months)..

 

Overrall, it looks cute and good enough as a B&B car.....

 

Price is at 108K....after discount is 99.99K. Original is 16inch rim, upgrade rim to 18 inch is add another 2K..
