3 men each contributed $10 to buy a map at $30.

Boss told the staff to give a discount of $5.

The staff kept $2 and return $3 to them.

Each man go back $1.

3 X $9 = $27

The staff kept $2.

$27+$2=$29.

Where is the $1?

to the 3 man they only pay $27 (nothing to do with the $30 they have)

to the staff, he collected $27 and makan the $2 (when the boss find out. he will be fired).

The customers think the maps cost $27. But in actual fact, the maps cost $25 dollars, $3 dollars given back to them, $2 dollars pocket by the staff.

I made a mistake earlier. This sounds more right to me.

ha? i dun understand. my iq same as chery QQ bhp figures.

i think 29 is actually 30 dollars. because like the units used in maps (meters or kilometers) they are rounded up. so 29 is 30 lor. only applies to buying maps.

The mistake is the mind keeps thinking of the $30.

Trying to add up to $30 is the mistake of the thought.

Simply because if your return $1 each to the three person, the truth to the 3 buyers is that the product cost them $9x3=$27. The END.

Simply the truth to the boss is the item was sold at $25. The END.

Simple to the staff, he made extra $2 that day. The END.

The buyers did not know and do not have to know about the black-eat-black staff who ketok the $2.
