Cerano 1st Gear April 22, 2010 Author Share April 22, 2010 very misleading topic , might result in lawsuits if accusations are not substantiated i didnt mention any topic/ws in particular. and reports of ws inflating claims have been published by the new paper and straits times so i dont think my comments are unsubstantiated. Darryn Turbocharged April 22, 2010 Share April 22, 2010 I don't think there is any need to "do your research" per se...I wouldn't go out and compare prices or anything. But I think the best thing to do, is to make sure you understand what the workshop is doing and why. Ask them why the part needs to be replaced, look at the pieces, ask to see the parts before they toss them. And best of all - get an itemised bill of everything they have done - even if the other party is paying, still insist on this.
Cerano 1st Gear April 22, 2010 Author Share April 22, 2010 better dont be too direct, latter kenna lawyer letter. yup definitely. i would request that all bros ** the names of workshops in the posts below.
Osiris 1st Gear April 22, 2010 Share April 22, 2010 ** the name of ws is not enough protection. If you want to say John Tan, and just blank out as such. J*hn T*n it is reasonable to assume u refer to John Tan & can be sued. But if you put J*** T** than ok. But that just hide who you wanted to say I did complained about a company many years ago here in MCF I stated the name openly in the title and body of the post. There was minimal emotion but more like stating the fact why they didn't do a good job. I posted photos to support what I said. If u want to complain, make sure u keep that emotion in check and write objectively, concentrate on the facts, don't keep saying XYZ sux, and if u have proof, post it. Osiris 1st Gear April 22, 2010 Share April 22, 2010 no one wants to spoil their reputation. Most complaints are about frustration of the service level they received. Others review to warn others.

Osiris 1st Gear April 23, 2010 Share April 23, 2010 warning others = spoiling alr mah. of course like we always say there are black sheeps in any trade it depends. if you sing praise about a company products but warn others not to get this particular one because its a bad product. e,g. all BMW cars are good except for the zero series. don't get them. Kar_lover Supercharged April 23, 2010 Share April 23, 2010 A recent topic prompted this thought into my head. What do you bros think of unethical workshops (eg. those that overinflate claims etc. etc.) i know alot of people will say "why so stupid kenna carrot" or "why you never go read up do research" In the first place wat is the point of this topic?? U're asking a rethoric question. Of course no normal person will like unethical workshops or in fact, unethical anything! Its like asking "Wat do you tink of lousy service (eg. waiters who are rude)". Why don't u start a topic that is more meaningful for example "how to avoid being chop by unethical workshop" or "how to detect unethical workshop". Then this will at least be more meaningful and helpful to some forumers here. ↡ Advertisement
