Noisy engine

writing on fren's behalf, his lancer 06 model has a noisy engine wen start, bought it 2nd hand n waranty over liao, wen 2 AD, C&C, did diagnostic check n dey say its ok cant find fault. unless he agree 2 spend more 2 remove engine n do more checks, say hv 2 keep car at their place 4 few days, n if its serious problem, can cost up2 10k 2 repair..... his car is OPC 1.5A wif mileage 50k onli.. any1 here know of any workshop in s'pore tat can do thorough engine check n wun cost a bomb, n do it fast without having to keep at their place for few days, called stamford but dey say onli can do diagnostic computer check onli... pls help thks all bros n sis

usually if noisy engine = timing or inside abit problem..( thats why they say must remove engine )

if u say 50k km = must check whole egine system liao to be safe ( most probably old owner just whack the engine = never really take care of the car )

erm $10k? wah lau go recognize jb workshop do better

2006 Lancer shouldn't be 1.5A, should be 1.6A. Auto Transmission CVT known to

generate noise, so the noisy engine your friend encounter could be normal.
