Any difference for BTO?

Currently in the same boat, signed the Agreement of Lease and paid 5% of BTO purchase price, stamp duty, legal fees etc.

Cancellation will need to forfeit the 5% right? I'm fine with the forfeiture, however, heard that since the 5% came from CPF, we have to put the forfeited money back in our CPF accts?

We had an AHG grant as well, that i know we have to repay, but how about the forfeited money that came from our CPF? Need to put back into the acct using cash as well?

Just trying to get the process and costs involved certain before i let her know.

If give up, HDB will forfeit 50% of your downpayment, excluding the stamp duties, legal fees and GST which will be fully forfeited.

Cannot.... Our ministers tell us must plan marriage in ahead... so decide and plan to get married at 25 yrs old, so that when BTO flat ready in 3-4 yrs time, 28-29.... just nice age to be officially married. <_<

Then alot of people will take advantage of this practice.

The couple already deprived another eligible couple the chance to get the flat, ought to have a financial penalty.

Couples should get married first before applying for flat.

How come cannot get married first dan get flat? Die die must get flat just before marriage? Is this a tradition? Or ppl just being kiasu?

Because flats take time to build and newly weds want to have their own abode and not stay with nagging parents and because not everyone can afford private property....
