Anyone trying out Circle Line

Recommended Posts

Yes, will definitely try it as the Macpherson station is 400 metres way from my place and I normally drive to Kallang Leisure park so the mrt is more convenient for me.

they should just dig a big hole right under the island so that rails can be laid on flat surface underground to connect everywhere...

I read somewhere that by 2020 the MRT system will be larger/longer than the Underground tube in London.

NO it will not, after 2012, both will be of equal size/length.. ZERO.. :-)

You live near me, my place is few minutes walk from MacPherson Station. [:)]. I haven't been taking the MRT for years ever since I start driving but I'm looking forward to the opening of the circle line, saw from the newspapers that the design of Bras Basah and Stadium MRT stations are damn chio!

Took the Circle Line few weeks back during the trial.

You can look at the well-lit tunnels at the front cabin. The train is driver-less.

Quite nice.

Where you stay ? Circuit road ? Maybe we stay at the same block !

I just came back from taking the circle line to Stadium station. It seems that going into the city is slower as the train stop longer at each station whereas coming back is much faster as the stop are quicker.

From Macpherson to Stadium (4 stations away) - 12 mins

From Stadium to Macpherson - 7 mins

The Stadium station is nice ! Funky floor design and the station is kinda high tech looking.
