Little_prince Supersonic April 12, 2010 Share April 12, 2010 doc is not god... every med can have allergies... even panadol... you can't expect the doc to know everything...
Davidklt Supercharged April 12, 2010 Share April 12, 2010 Unless there is negligence and the doc has done his due diligence, there should be no cause for complain. Docs are human too, you cannot expect them to know all.

Darthkk Clutched April 12, 2010 Share April 12, 2010 Every medicine will cause allergy including panadol. Did your friend tell the Doctor he is allergy to amoxicillin? if yes and the Dr still give him you got a case. If no than is your friend bad luck, how the doctor know he is allergic to it? majority of the patients take amoxicillin no problem And yes, amoxicillin is indeed a good medicine/antibiotic as compare to the rest. Jchuacl Clutched April 12, 2010 Share April 12, 2010 Like the others mentioned, there is no case if the allergy is unknown or not reported to the doc. Moving forward, ur friend need to do further tests and determine what other medicine he is allergic to as i suspect he should be allergic to other penicillin related drugs. Thereafter, he should get the medik awas card. Friend of mine just encountered this irresponsible doctor. Dispense medicine which causes allergy and says amoxocilin is 'good medicine'. Watwheels Supersonic April 12, 2010 Share April 12, 2010 (edited) Now I know why TS's friend want to lodge complain. taken from wikipedia Amoxillin "Side effects Side effects are as those for other beta-lactam antibiotics. Side effects include nausea, vomiting, rashes and antibiotic associated colitis. Loose bowel movements (diarrhea) also may occur. The onset of an allergic reaction to amoxicillin can be very sudden and intense - emergency medical attention must be sought as quickly as possible. The initial onset of such a reaction often starts with a change in mental state; skin rash with intense itching (often beginning in fingertips and around groin area and rapidly spreading) and sensations of fever, nausea and vomiting. Any other symptoms that seem even remotely suspicious must be taken very seriously." Edited April 12, 2010 by Watwheels
Zyrofillica 1st Gear April 12, 2010 Share April 12, 2010 aiyo. must be the reactions scared his gf/wife during their hot and passionate moment. now got blueballs and become a grumpy man for the rest of the week.
Robo 2nd Gear April 12, 2010 Share April 12, 2010 many a times allergy cant be discovered unless one actually try taking that medicine. if ur friend didnt tell the doctor that he is allergic to amoxillin than there isnt any case. unless ur friend tells the doctor and can prove that he has already told den is the negligence of the doctor. dont everything complain complain complain la. its nobody's fault imo. thats y many doctors will say u nv eat this medicine b4 right? if u eat liao u no feel gd or got rashes etc. stop eating and come back. ↡ Advertisement
