of course not sure. :D how can anybody be sure of conspiracy theories? just food for thought, taken with large swathes of salt.

you could of course research on NTU, what it was called, how it was. but i reckon you might know already.

actually, while i have fond memories of sand playgrounds, i see this as progress.

kids will always be kids and will always find ways to break something anyway.

a cooler cleaner safer environment works for me.

All of you who drive with your air-con on are sissys. duh.

Agree with you on this. [nod] [nod]

No....I never supported that idea. I feel they should instead plan SMU campus around the NLB and the existing buildings. It is really a shame that it was demolished for an almost useless tunnel....a duplicate of what the existing road could do. In fact, the road just after the exit is prone to accident where cars from the tunnel and those using the old road meet.

They sacrificed not just one historical building but also the memories of many Singaporeans in one decision. And I am not even a frequent visitor to NLB. I went prob less than 10 times.

Actually I feel the change come at a good time....with more and more stray cats...the sand pit would have been filled with cat poo. There were less strays cats in the olden days.

I remember more or less the same number but they are usually skinnier than the present batch as less people feeding them and there were no volunteer groups then to feed them, take care of their general well being.
