Heard ipad uses micro sim card which is not available locally.

Then how u gonna fully use it?

this model that just launched is the non 3g version, so no need for mini simcard.

The micro sim card look like just the useless plastic around the chip is lesser.

So technically u can use penknife to trim ur sim card to the micro size.

 

I am holding out on the 3g ipad till the local telcos can confirm that it will work with their mobile broadband sim card!

I'm in Tokyo now and my office bought iPAD in US and shipped here for evaluation.

Its quite heavy to me. So many ppl playing on it,I small fry only tried it for 1min. Will get more chance to play with it later.

 

On-screen Keypad is good but you can type alphabets only and if need to type numbers must shift key, so its not a full Qwerty display.

 

Touch sensors are 1st class. Screen is 9.7" enough for a full page view.

Accelerometer is 1st class too.

very slim - you'd wonder how the squeeze so much stuff into it and works beautifully.

exactly. apply marketing hype is so good that they can take a normal drinking straw and sell it as isuck and ppl will still rush to buy it.

 

i'm not saying that apple prodts are bad, just that their branding is like some ridiculously effective mind control

I tried more of it just now.

I realise there is a problem with this product and any product that wants to be a Tablet - You can only use 1 hand to work on it.

 

If you place it on the table, it faces up in the ceiling in which gives no fun to type on it as you need to bend over to see the screen it don't have a stand/support to tilt it to an angle.

 

I personally don't think this hype will last for any Tablet product unless you just wanna hold it and walk around to show-off.

If you wanna read eBooks, I can do fine with a Netbook with 2GB Ram.

 

I won't buy it.
