Hi one and all...

 

one of my relatives who is posted overseas for 6months has lent his car to our family to temporary take care of her...

 

it's a Toyota Ractis 1.3X Parallel Imported....

 

here are some pics...

 

it's really like a larger and taller Honda Fit 1.3G...albeit the quality is like the Wish (lower grade plastics compared to the ones used by Honda)...

 

the 1.3L VVT-i engine supposedly has 88bhp and is mated to a 4CVT....

 

the boot is surprisingly quite huge and we decided to use the Ractis in our weekend outing to test out the practicality...

 

with my mum and dad in the front seats, my 2 younger sis and the maid in 2nd row, and guess where i was seated?? Yes in the boot!!! but i must sit cross legged to feel comfortable...

 

a 1.3L MPV??? but the car really struggled to get up to 90kph....only on the downslope on BKE then the car managed to go 100kph....

 

bodyroll is as per the Wish and so is the ride quality (though it's slightly harsher lah)....but road/tyre noise is really irritating and infiltrating into the cabin...

 

what are your views on this car??? anybody out there driving one??

How come you can take to effort to use internet pictures and NOT the real car you are driving.

Anyway...this is a so old car. I think this model going to phase out soon.

well, his OMV probably at $14-15k bah...

 

now i don't think any PI bring in this unpopular model le...

 

but he bought it from Hup Lung...he seems quite satisfied with their sales and aftersales service at 2nd party workshop...

 

as for salesman to recommend, i'm not sure, didn't check with him...

 

as far as i know, there's 1.3X and 1.3G

 

there's also 1.5L models, with 1.5X, G, G-skyroof...macham like Fit liddat....

the 1.5G and G-skyroof models comes with paddle-shifters and cruise-control...

 

1.5L has VVT-i 7CVT...

 

quite a nice car lah...

 

but the front look is quite fussy, and the rear a bit awkward...
