Considering lease, as do not to worry about the reliability of Alfa n resell value.

If is more than $1599,not worth at all.

Thought that the $1599 refer to basic model and the word from refer to higher spec , qv or 1.8.

Turbocharged

Hey guys, I'm wondering what kind of headlights the Giulietta QV line comes with. Are they just halogen projectors, or are they bi-xenon/LED?

sgcarmart got specs mah. 1.4L turbo QV line is HID, 1.8L turbo is bi-xenon. Only the entry 1.4L turbo is using halogen.

Somehow I don't trust SGCM specs list to be fully accurate. And HID typically means xenon... or can be LED also nowadays.

Neutral Newbie

Hi Guys

I am new to this forum and great to know so many enthusiasts with lots of interaction and exchange of information here.

Keen to know which are the workshops you guys go to for servicing checks and repairs - Alfa Sportivo or City Auto (authorised by EuroAutomobile)?

Currently I am enjoying the ride of Giulietta for 2 years plus and friend of mine recently got a 147 - his oil pressure indicator has been coming on recently and he wants to diagnose the root issue.

Thus would be awesome to get some tips and advice!

Thanks in advance.

Hi Guys,

I'm new to here.

Recently i was doing a comparison on buying Giulietta 1.4 QV Line or should i lease it.

Buying a QV Line now is around $133k, need to take care of insurance, road tax, maintenance and servicing and whatever things happened on the car.

But leasing is around $2k / month for 5 years which means total will cost $120k for 5 years + all the petrol expenses and after that, you get nothing back except enjoy this car for 5 years.

My monthly average mileage will clock around 3000km to 4000km as i need to travel a lot in Singapore and sometimes i need to go Malaysia for work.

I had test drive the car and it really give me a very enjoyable drive. However, If i buy Giulietta 1.4 QV Line, will maintenance cost me a bomb? as i heard quite a lot of negatives comments from my friends on Alfa Romeo but they don't own Alfa Romeo car! i wish to hear from owner of Alfa Romeo Giulietta 1.4 QV line owner comments as you had experienced in this car and can give me a real experience sharing.

Hope you guys can give me valuable suggestion.

i believed for the first 5years Alfa should have no major problem, if based on your calculation, why not you just buy it and drive for $133K x 5/10 years, and lease it out for another 5 years for $120K, you still earn $53.5K, after minus off maintenance & changing parts, your petrol used of 5 years, you still earning money, which mean the first 5 years are a free ride!

Haha!! wow... brilliant idea... but after 5 years... where i get another car for my ride if i lease out my car? lol...

How is the car maintenance like? 10000km or 15000km need to service? every time service will roughly how much?

i know that there will be minor (normal) maintenance and major maintenance... roughly it will cost how much?

Well.... after 5years you've already fully paid off, so time to get another Alfa La!

Actually, i'm also worrying like you, any experience Giulietta owner can advise here??

Giulietta is good! if yours doesnt give you problems. I randomly get v bad gear transmission so its smth u got to live with, though recently it's getting better.

the gas pedal is very laggy if u want immediate acceleration like to filter lane. that lag plus turbo lag means u most likely will miss the chance, unless u manual downgear.. this however i realised can be easily rectified using novitec's gp1.

put the gp1 together with powerjet 3 the car is alot better to drive in city. i know the price can get yourself a good tune job, but i really dunno where to get it properly tuned, and i prefer to work with something easily reversible.

also, budget allowing i think the 1750 will be a much better choice. 1.4 is economical and efficient, but is still underpowered. car is very heavy.

take into account also that i've been riding a 1.3L bike for the past 6years, so the response i demand from my vehicle may be different.
