hi folks. need some advice on the above. Other than the technicalities, any discernible difference in drive comfort, handling as well as fuel efficiency ?

more inclined towards ride comfort and decent power on tap... price difference between quattro and MU is about 7k.

also, i heard that the gearbox fluid need to be replaced every 40clicks ?

advices ?

cheers !

I don't understand what you try to compare.

Quattro is 4 wheel drive for Audi, while Multitronic is Audi CVT gearbox.

S-tronic = DSG bro

Multitronic = CVT

CVT is a pretty lousy gearbox while S-tronic is dual clutch giving shift times of 6ms. imagine F1 time gear shifts. savvy?

Quattro is 4WD, the multitronic without the quattro implies it's probably RWD, though i might be mistaken.

4WD handles better than RWD and is generally more stable. The difference is more obvious in heavy rain.

Audis are FWD or AWD. No RWD if I am not mistaken.

Thks for the clarification bro. Had always had the impression that german cars were RWD by default.

But RWD is still the purists choice [thumbsup]

CVT is really crap IMHO....but Audi's version of CVT is among the best of such gearbox [nod]

Used to be...but not any more...due to the manufacturers beancounters...even Mercedes ( A and B class ) and BMW ( for their future base model ) will be FWD....for Audi...they've adopted FWD and AWD for quite sometime...

No question take the 2.0 quattro with S-tronics. The 1.8 wiu multitronics sucks, no power, cvt whine. Compare to the quattro, drive along S buona vista road and feel the sharp handling. Also switch between comfort/sports mode and feel the difference in suspension/handling.

bmw is gonna make FWD as well as they said "80% of their customers didn't know the car is RWD"

Yeah, quite fun to drive torquey RWD cars...

with high powered FWD cars do you still feel the pull/kick?
