Ipoh Car Rental

Hi, did a search but could not find any thread on Ipoh Car Rental. Does any one have any contacts for 1 day car rental in Ipoh? I'm flying up to Ipoh and need a car to visit my Grandfather's grave for Qing Ming.

 

Appreciate any contacts and estimated costs if possible.

It seems Tiger Airways is starting flights to Ipoh next month......even though I'm used to driving there & beyond, I need a much bigger vehicle to ferry 7 passengers from airport & sightseeing for convenience, rather than taking taxis.

Also, exploring the feasibility of driving up to Cameron Highlands as well.

 

So, any recommendation of reliable car rentals would be greatly appreciated. TIA.

Looks like no car rental in Ipoh or its airport..... Maybe you can consider to rent from Penang and drive Southbound to Ipoh....?

 

Or buy a MPV which can sit 7 pax, and drive up ?

Anyway, I have no use for an MPV in daily usage.

 

Usually it takes about 6 hrs if one drive within speed limits with no stopping. Imagine having 7 passengers; half of whom needs toilet break every hour.......it's gonna take me forever to reach Ipoh!

 

Googled & saw a few small rental companies but was hoping some MCFers could recommend those they had used before, regarding the condition of the vehicles & reliability of the company.

 

Anyway, still exploring other options & destinations.
